At Debi's Debris I am always on the hunt for the vintage, antique, and unusual. I carefully hand select unique items and repair, enhance, and alter them. I am so sorry about not posting anything for the past two weeks. I have been so sick! It's still lingering, but I am so much better. I was able to piddle around a little bit, so I have a few pictures. First, my husband brought home a bunch of wrought iron scraps, an old picture frame, and an old metal cat. I had already started cleaning the picture frame before I took the photo. I'm open to any ideas you may have. Secondly, I made a tassel out of one of my chandelier parts, and another tassel from the bobeche of the same antique chandelier. I've got a lot to do to get open in the next two weeks. I had not planned on being sick for 16 days.

About 3 years ago I acquired an antique Capodimonte chandelier. I started to take it apart but when I saw it was made in Spain, I decided to investigate it. I found one that was exactly like it and worth $1200. I decided to leave it alone, until now. Even though it was worth a lot of money, I would have to find someone crazy enough to give me that much for it. So, I decided to take it apart and use the pieces. I have so many ideas for the pieces! I have finally settled on a logo and have had business cards made for my little shop. My store is our refurbished chicken house and is only a 9x9 room. It's cute and cozy! I have been stocking and pricing this summer and intend to have a grand opening during our town wide yard sale, September 12th.
