Sad post to make but life happens and things change…Final sale at The Barrel Barn!

We have to clear out our existing storage, and since we have not been able to do much with barrels it does not make sense to move what we have left to somewhere new.

I will be there Friday (5/9) from 4:30-6pm and Saturday (5/10) from 9-11am. We have mostly 15 and 25 gallon barrels. Used to be $100/120, now $80. Any remaining large barrels $60.

Also have some barrel staves and rings. Staves $1 or make an offer if you take a bunch. Rings $5.

Not holding anything, when they are gone they are gone and I will update the post. If you absolutely need one, come Friday. We are 5 miles south of Elburn near the 88/47 interchange. If you need the address, ask! Thanks all!

You might be wondering “What happened to the barrel guys?” as this page has been awfully quiet for most of the year. Truth be told, the barrel “business” has gotten tough, combined with our personal lives getting much busier. It has simply become much harder to get barrels at a price that is even remotely possible for us to sell as a fun side gig. So for now, we don’t have full sized barrels, barrel heads, or staves and I don’t know when we will again.

We are going to continue to invest and even upgrade our retail spot inside Sadie's On Main in Downtown Elburn to focus on items and home decor that will appeal to the whiskey, wine, and beer enthusiast. We love the store and our hometown so keep shopping local! Recently we restocked with fun fall decor and a new batch of some of our most popular products. We will continue to update this space as we dream up what comes next for The Barrel Barn!

This is the first of many things coming in 2023...the relaunch of the Illinois Barrel Trail, our effort to highlight the great wine and spirits that are in our own backyard. Follow Illinois Barrel Trail here on FB or Instagram for our upcoming changes that will include a new website/directory, great content, and in person events happening this year!

Do you enjoy going "Out On The Trail", and think you have the personality to create or write content from your adventures? We are looking for Barrel Trailblazers to help us with our endeavor to hit as many of these as possible. Message us if you think that might be you!

Barrel Barn Update Ahead…

We know we have been awfully quiet on here. If you read nothing more, just know we close down for the winter time and will announce regular hours again when the weather is nice!

2022 started out with big plans for the business but life just got in the way. We moved (twice!), started new jobs, and had a lot of other things happen in between. Our hope is to take those ideas and roll out what should be a very exciting 2023! Thanks to those that have made The Barrel Barn a source of everthing
