🛍️✨ Auction Wins Worth Waiting For! ✨🛍️

After a few nail-biting moments and watching the countdown clock more times than I care to admit, I was fortunate enough to win several beautiful treasures from a recent online auction hosted by Coppersmith Antiques & Auction.

Among my favorite finds were:
💙 Gorgeous cobalt blue handled baskets
💙 Hand-painted blue satin glass pieces with delicate floral details
🌸 Vintage porcelain vanity pieces with soft floral decorations
🧡 A stunning iridescent carnival glass bowl featuring an embossed rose pattern
✨ Several unique signed Fenton baskets

One of the things I love most about online auctions is the thrill of the hunt. You never know if you'll be outbid in the final seconds or hear that satisfying "sold" when the auction closes.

Now comes the fun part—researching each piece, learning its history, and deciding which treasures will stay in my collection for a while and which will be offered for sale to fellow collectors who will appreciate them as much as I do.

🇺🇸🛍️ Treasure Hunting Around Basye, Virginia! 🛍️🇺🇸

One of my favorite things about traveling is exploring the small antique shops, thrift stores, and hidden treasure spots along the way. While I came across a wonderful mix of vintage finds, collectibles, patriotic décor, glassware, and farmhouse treasures.

Among the treasures that followed me home were:

🤍 A beautiful Indian Milk Glass Hen on Nest
✨ A frosted pagoda fairy lamp
🌸 Vintage pitchers, trinket boxes, and decorative porcelain pieces
🇺🇸 Patriotic Americana décor just in time for summer celebrations
🍷 Elegant stemware and colorful art glass pieces
👞 Delft-inspired mini shoe and creamer pieces
💙 Lovely blue and white treasures that always seem to find their way into my cart!

Some days you find one special item. Other days you discover an entire collection of treasures waiting for a new home. That's the excitement of the hunt—you never know what you'll uncover around the next corner.

I always enjoy seeing the history, craftsmanship, and stories behind these pieces. Now comes the fun part: researching, cleaning, photographing, and helping these treasures find new homes with collectors who will appreciate them.

🚗💨 Sometimes the Best Treasures Are Found in the Most Unexpected Places! 💨🚗

While traveling through the beautiful countryside of Orkney Springs, Virginia, we spotted a little country store called Flea and Yardsale Treasures and decided to stop "just for a minute." My husband had to have a cold Pepsi, and antique lovers know exactly how that story usually ends! 😄

The shelves had antique treasures, and before long I found this beautiful Indiana Milk Glass Hen on Nest. At only $12.50, there was no way I was leaving her behind! 🐔🤍

Then I spotted something else that caught my eye—a Frosted Pagoda Fairy Lamp marked just $5.00. I had to bring it home, too!

That's one of the things I love most about treasure hunting. You never know what you'll find tucked away in a small country store, flea market, or antique shop. Every stop is an adventure, and every treasure has a story waiting to be continued.

Today's finds may not have been expensive, but they were affordable, beautiful, and now have a new home. That's a win in my book! ❤️

I had NO IDEA! Did you?

Le Smith & Laurel Glass Works was a line created by Smith in 1978-1979 allowing them to market pieces to discount houses at lower prices than their regular customers were paying. They were the same pieces as their regular product line, but sometimes discontinued items or different colors. The orders were sent to a PO Box in "Laurelville, PA" -- which is actually just a neighborhood outside Mount Pleasant, but not a real city.
