Made With Patience will be closing the doors on or before September 1, 2026.
When I opened up my little shop almost 4 years ago, my intention was to do something I’ve always wanted to do…And I did it. My family and I suffered the tremendous loss of my brother Matt (f-cancer) seven years ago and I knew I had to do something to keep my sanity and not let myself go into a dark place emotionally. Over these years, I have met some incredible people that I now call my friends. I wanted to spread kindness, make people laugh and show my small little world my creative gift. It was never my intention to make a million dollars, my husband and I have worked hard for the things we have and it was never about the money. It was about me learning how to heal and not waste a single day. This decision was a tough one, but I know it’s the right one for me and my family. I need to slow down again and enjoy the little things. Above all, my family is the most important thing to me and I want to be more present. Being a small business owner is not for the weak and I’m not closing because I failed. I am going to take some much needed me time. That’s not something I’m good at because I tend to put everyone else first. My first granddaughter will be here in August, I am so excited to meet her and spend precious time with her and the rest of my family.
This was 100% my decision and I know it’s the right one for me. I may still do limited custom orders but please give me some grace and time to adjust to my move. I’ve met so many amazing people along this journey and I will miss all my weekly interactions with them. I will also miss my small business owner neighbors, now friends, so very much. I will definitely keep in touch. Thank you to all of my faithful customers. Thank you to my friends and family for all the constant love and support and for believing in me. No matter how crazy this journey has been, you’ve always been my biggest cheerleaders. You’ll never know how much that means to me.
Love,
Patience
