Elk Falls Pottery

Elk Falls Pottery Generally open from 9 - 5 Monday through Saturday
Closed Tues Sept 12, Fri 15, Sat 16 Building a kiln, a shop, a place to call home.

Steve and Jane Fry fell in love with clay and each other in the early 1970's. After an amazing experience working in a living history village in GA, we moved to the secluded rural village of Elk Falls, KS in 1976 and began building. Building a family, friendships, and a lifestyle centered around clay. And 40+ years later, we are still building. Come and visit, we'd love to meet you!

Day one is done, but Saturday's comin' and the weather is beautiful! So good to see many of you even though we didn't have a lot of time to visit! If you're coming on Saturday, we still have plenty of pottery and some very creative outhouses to check out! Plus Saturday visitors can hear Reach for the Sky bluegrass band three times around town - 3pm at the Pottery.
Hope you can make it!

Had a great time attending the 50th Annual Walnut Valley Festival as attendees for the first time since 1976. We were honored to receive an award from Bart Redford for making the Winfield commemorative mugs for 40 consecutive years. We are humbled and blessed. We're seated beside 82 yr. old bluegrass legend, Dan Crary, who was instrumental in getting the festival started.

Everyone who has stood in line at Winfield to get first choice of mugs knows what the Mug Rush is all about! Well, we're having our virtual "mug rush" Friday Sept. 9 at high noon. That's when we will be restocking our online store (elkfallspottery.square.site) with a limited number of mugs and other commemorative items. You'll still be able to pick them up at our studio in Elk Falls (except DURING the festival) or we can ship to your home.
We are also adding two special edition one gallon mugs which will only be available by special order. One has the very first mug design from the 1981 10th anniversary along with the 20, 30 40 and 50 year designs. Get mugged at the Mug Rush!
