Most of you know we exhibited our pottery at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield for many years. 45 to be exact. Our last year to sell in person was 2021, even though we made the mugs for the 50th Anniversary festival in 2022.
In 2020 I ran across a photo of a guitar player online and thought it would make a great mug design! It was just a nice composition. So I found out who the guy was and reached out to see if he would give permission to use his photo. His name was Barry Ward and I found that he had actually performed at Winfield in the past. He gave me permission to use the photo, but then I had to ask another question. Would he mind if I put a mask on his image!? So if you have a commemorative Winfield mug from 2020, that masked guitar player is Barry Ward.
Later we met Barry and his wife Victoria and we have become friends. Barry and Victoria have been to our place and played at our church many times.

All this to say that we have since made mugs for Barry (unmasked) and we will be helping sell them after his sets at Winfield this year 2026 - along with his music of course. So if you’re at the festival this week, stop by and say Hi and pick up some great music from a premier western gospel singer songwriter from the prairies of SW Kansas - and maybe a mug! We’d love to see you again!

Elk Falls Pottery will be closed Wednesday and Thursday November 20-21. Will reopen Friday and Saturday for our 45 annual Open House. More info to come. Hope to see you then!

Day one is done, but Saturday's comin' and the weather is beautiful! So good to see many of you even though we didn't have a lot of time to visit! If you're coming on Saturday, we still have plenty of pottery and some very creative outhouses to check out! Plus Saturday visitors can hear Reach for the Sky bluegrass band three times around town - 3pm at the Pottery.

Our 44th Annual Open House is here! Friday and Saturday 9 - 5. We hope to see you here! Ivy Barn Designs also has a fantastic display in the shop. And don't forget the Outhouse Festival is also happening. Ya gotta go!

Winfield fans! We've had several of you stop by the shop on your way to or from the festival. Just want to inform you that we will be gone Tues the 12th and will be at the Festival Fri and Sat. So if you want to make a trip over (50 miles E of Winfield on 160) it will need to be Wed or Thurs this week. Would love to see you!
