Calling all Coca-Cola collectors! 🥤❤️

We recently took in a huge Coca-Cola collection on consignment, and I’m having entirely too much fun going through it.

There are vintage and collectible trucks, Matchbox vehicles, Santa pieces, polar bears, holiday collectibles, tins, mugs, village buildings, advertising pieces, and quite a bit more. And this isn’t even all of it. More Coke items are still coming in.

We’ll be listing pieces and groups gradually through our Facebook Marketplace, so if Coca-Cola memorabilia is your thing, you may want to keep an eye on us.

We’re The Odd Lot Store, located in Minnesota, and we regularly handle consignment, collectibles, vintage finds, and all the wonderfully odd things people have tucked away over the years.

If there’s a particular type of Coke collectible you’re hunting for, feel free to comment. There is a lot here, and I’m still uncovering it.

One of the things I love about The Odd Lot is that you truly never know what is going to come through the door.

So let's play a game.

You can take ONE of these home. No budget. No measuring to see if it fits. No wondering where in the world you're going to put it.

Which one are you taking?

I'm especially curious to see if anyone picks the same one I would.

Tell me which photo and why. And yes, “I have absolutely nowhere to put it, but I want it anyway” is a completely acceptable answer.

Before you donate Grandma’s dishes… take another look. 👀

One of the questions I get when looking at collections is:

“Are these dishes worth anything?”

And the frustrating answer is… sometimes.

The market for traditional dinnerware has changed dramatically. A beautiful, enormous china service that someone carefully collected over decades may have cost a small fortune originally, but that does not necessarily mean there is a strong resale market for it today.

I have seen large sets of dinnerware sell at auction for surprisingly little.

But then there are the exceptions.

Certain brands, patterns, colors and individual pieces still have collectors actively looking for them.

Some of the things that immediately make me take a closer look include:

🔥 Vintage Fiesta
🥣 Pyrex
🍲 Corning Ware
☕ Fire-King
🌹 Certain Franciscan patterns
🏡 Johnson Brothers
🌿 Certain Spode patterns
👑 Royal Albert
🍽️ Select Wedgwood, Noritake, Lenox and Pfaltzgraff patterns
…and plenty of oddballs that don't necessarily have a famous name at all.

And here's where it gets interesting:

The name on the bottom isn't always enough.

One pattern from a manufacturer may have very little resale value, while another pattern from the same company can be highly sought after.

Color matters.

Age matters.

The backstamp matters.

Condition matters.

Whether the pattern has been discontinued matters.

And sometimes that strange little gravy boat, covered vegetable dish, teapot or serving platter is more interesting to a collector than the 12 dinner plates sitting beside it.

That is why I don't recommend throwing out or donating an inherited collection simply because you've heard, “Nobody wants china anymore.”

Sometimes nobody does.

Sometimes you've got something worth researching.

At The Odd Lot, I'm especially interested in vintage kitchenware, collectible dinnerware, unusual patterns, discontinued pieces and collections that deserve a closer look.

If you've inherited a cupboard full of dishes, are downsizing, or simply don't want to photograph, research, list and sell everything yourself, send me a few pictures.

I can't promise every set will be a good fit for consignment, but I can help determine whether there's something in that cupboard worth investigating.

Because occasionally the treasure isn't hiding in the attic.

It's been sitting in the china cabinet the whole time.

Fun Fact: The items in the image sold for $180.

**So, what exactly is The Odd Lot?**

Honestly, I think The Odd Lot started long before it ever had a name.

My great-grandmother owned an antique store, and some of my fondest childhood memories are tied to it. I would sometimes travel with her to antique shows, and I spent a lot of time at my great-grandparents' home, which was upstairs from their store.

Their home was filled with fascinating pieces, each seemingly with its own story. I remember being completely mesmerized by a carousel she had. I could have stared at it forever.

Somewhere along the way, that love of old and interesting things followed me into adulthood.

I started spending more time at garage sales, auctions and anywhere else I might stumble across something worth saving. I loved finding things that were headed for the donation pile, destined to be thrown away, or simply waiting for someone new to appreciate them.

There's something beautiful about giving an object another chapter instead of letting its story end.

And, as it turns out, I have a type. 😂

Vintage. Nostalgic. Collectible. Beautiful. Unusual. Occasionally downright odd.

The things that make you stop and say, **“What IS that?”**

Those are my favorite.

Eventually, I opened a booth at a local antique store and ran it for 11 months. Health issues ultimately meant I needed to close the booth, but apparently nobody informed my treasure-hunting brain that we were supposed to quit.

So I didn't.

I leaned further into selling online through eBay, Etsy and Facebook Marketplace, and then decided I wanted to take The Odd Lot another step forward. In November 2025, I became a licensed auctioneer in the state of Minnesota.

My husband works alongside me, and as a history major, he gets every bit as excited as I do when we uncover the history behind something.

In fact, I frequently have to remind **him** that we're supposed to SELL the inventory.

Not keep it.

All of it. 😂

And maybe my favorite part is watching the next generation start to catch the bug.

We have two young daughters who are already learning to spot interesting things, figure out what they're worth, and hunt for items they might be able to resell for a profit.

My little treasure hunters in training. ❤️

So what exactly is **The Odd Lot?**

It's part vintage shop, part treasure hunt, part history lesson, part resale business and part second-chance story.

We find the things that are unusual, nostalgic, collectible, beautiful, forgotten, wonderfully odd, or simply too good to disappear.

Then we work to find the person who will love them next.

Because sometimes the best things aren't brand new.

**They just need a new story.**

Some of my favorite finds will always be R.L. Stine books—especially Goosebumps!

I loved these books as a kid. Every school book fair meant I had to bring home another one. I also love that Disney brought Goosebumps to a new generation with its modern series. R.L. Stine will always be one of my favorite authors!

We recently found this fun collection, including several Ghosts of Fear Street books. If you enjoy nostalgic finds like these, follow our Marketplace profile to see what we list next:

Not everything should be sold the same way.

Some belongings make sense at auction. Some are better suited for consignment. Others may be easier to sell individually.

I own The Odd Lot Store in Otsego, and I am a licensed Minnesota auctioneer. We help people determine the right way to sell belongings when they are:

• Downsizing
• Preparing for a move
• Selling a collection
• Handling inherited belongings
• Unsure what may have resale value

Odd Lot offers auction, consignment, and resale services. We are not a cleanout or junk-removal company. Our focus is identifying marketable items and determining the most appropriate way to sell them.

We generally serve communities within approximately 50 miles of Otsego, but I am licensed throughout Minnesota and willing to travel for the right project.

If you are unsure where to begin, send us a message with your city, timeline, and several photos of what you need to sell. We can tell you whether it appears to fit our services and what the next step should be.

What it started as—and what it became.

We sanded this piece down to reveal the beautiful original wood grain underneath. It didn’t need much after that, so we simply applied food-grade mineral oil to protect the wood and bring out its natural beauty.
