✨Occasionally, it's necessary  to break away from one’s routine and express gratitude to the educators and administrators who selflessly nurture our kiddos. I was asked to put my creative talents to use in a unique way for the 2nd year in a row, specifically by transforming the teacher lounge into an under water oasis for Teacher Appreciation Week!!

This year's enchanting theme, 🌊Under the Sea🐙, was such a joy to create. It’s not every day that you get to take items found at the dollar store and convert them into something new and (almost) beautiful! 🐟🌊
✨ Thank you to all educators to your herd work in shaping our next generation!

🤔 Recently, I was inspired to upcycle crocheted and knitted items I could find at Goodwill and other second hand stores. I believe it’s our job to be stewards of this earth, and even something as simple as reusing the yarn from an old blanket can save both the earth the added chemicals and my wallet the added expense!
👉🏼 This blanket (which was factory-made) I purchased for $8.99…but the final picture shows what would easily be $45-$60 worth of yarn, even at Walmart or other cheaper stores!👏🏻

🧶I’m getting ready to host a small table at my daughter’s softball tryouts (a portion of the proceeds going to support her softball association!). School/team colors and softball themed keychain wristlets will be on the menu! 👏🏻😊

Making a new beanie for my teen because the one I made for her for Christmas was too small (because measuring her head would have been too obvious!😆). I love the yarn and all their colorways. I’ve been on a Wheat Stitch kick lately and this yarn works up beautifully.

⭐️ I don’t know about you, but my skin is super sensitive to the feel of certain yarns on my neck and face, so I’m picky about it what I use for wearable accessories. This yarn is super soft and makes for comfortable scarves and beanies! (Nope, not a paid advertisement! Just thought I’d share with my other creatives who haven’t tried this yarn yet.) 👏🏻❤️
