🍁🥐 FRESH FROM CAM’S CORNER: FALL EDITION! 🎃

After a little unexpected break to get feeling better, I’m back in the kitchen and ready to bring you some fall goodness!

This week’s drop features THREE new scone flavors, and I can’t wait for you to try them:

🍁 Maple Pecan — cozy, nutty, and full of fall flavor
🍒 Candied Almond & Cranberry — sweet, nutty, and tart
🍊 Cranberry Orange — a bright, fruity fall favorite

A little baking break is happening in Cam’s Corner this week. ❤️🥖

After a VERY busy week, I’ve decided it’s time to step away from the ovens for a few days, get some much-needed rest, and make sure I’m taking care of myself so I don’t run myself into the ground.

But there’s a silver lining to a week off from regular baking: recipe testing! 👀

I’ve got some ideas I’ve been wanting to try, and this gives me a chance to play around in the kitchen without the pressure of baking for a menu. Who knows what might make its way into a future Fresh from Cam’s Corner drop!

So there won’t be a regular order window this week, but don’t worry—I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be back, hopefully rested, recharged, and with some fun new things to share.

❤️🥐 Six weeks into Baking & Pastry school, and I already have to say farewell to one of the people who has helped make this transition so much smoother.

Our wonderful teaching assistant may have been there to make Chef Paul’s job easier, but she has also made the transition back into school—and into a MUCH different pace of education and work than I’m used to—so much easier for me. I’m definitely going to miss having her in class!

We just wrapped 🎬 Foundations of Baking & Pastry, and it has been a good (and sometimes frustrating 😅) introduction to so many different types of baked goods.

If anything, these six weeks have confirmed for me just how much science really IS in baking… but it’s a type of science that also requires a little artistic talent. And I’m loving learning how the two come together. ✨

Next up: a three-week course in Creams, Custards, & Sauces! We’ll be building on the foundations we learned in our first class while adding new techniques, recipes, and plenty of saucy goodness. 😉

One class down, and I’m just getting started! 🥐❤️

🍞 A little bakery schedule update!

The next couple of weeks are going to be busy busy around here, so I won’t be doing my usual scheduled bakery drops. 💁🏼‍♀️

BUT… that doesn’t mean the ovens are completely off! 👀

🎉 Keep an eye out for limited special drops whenever my schedule allows. These may be smaller than my usual menus and could pop up with little notice—but if I have something fresh coming out of the oven, you’ll be the first to know!

And yes, delivery will be available for these limited drops, too. 🏡🥖

🍫 This week at Cam’s Creative Corner: SWEET TREATS! 🍫

And making their debut this week are these Double Chocolate Sourdough Scones. Oooh boy… these are a treat! 😍😛 Rich, chocolatey, and just begging to be paired with a cold glass of milk or a good cup of coffee. ☕️🥛

💁🏼‍♀️ If you caught my post about going back to bakery school, you may have wondered what that means for the bakery schedule.

Well… this is why I’m sprinkling some Sweet Treat Weeks in between our bread weeks! 👩🏼‍🍳📚

While I’m in school learning all the things, I’m also learning how to make some pretty fun things — including biscuits, muffins, and quick breads, as well as cake decorating, buttercream, and pâte sucrée fruit tarts. (And yes, getting to eat what we make is definitely one of the perks! 😂)

So this week, I’m bringing a little bit of that sweet-treat energy to Fresh from Cam’s Corner!
