Greetings everyone,
It felt good to be in Barker middle school over the weekend.
After every show I hear feed back on whether it was a good show or not. Most folks base it on sales, a few people base it on exposure, not me. I look back on each show and think about how many people admired my work while telling me stories about family that used to make sawdust. I think about the 7, yes seven, teenagers that stopped by and really liked the small pocket crosses I had displayed. I sent seven crosses home to seven different households and didn’t charge a single cent. That folks is a successful show!!!!

Greetings everyone,
I thought I would drop a quick message.
I was out in the workshop today and got it to a balmy 38 degrees when I realized that I needed to post some thoughts. Working in the warm like that is refreshing and good for my mental wellbeing, love it !!!!!
Now to the good stuff…
I’m less than 2 weeks away from the first show of the year. This one is at Barker middle school in Michigan City IN, the same place that started my woodworking journey. Yes, 50 years ago I made several projects in wood shop at Barker and still have them today and still make sawdust. That’s a long time. I’m hopingto improve my skills,wish me luck …lol
I hope see a few of you, all of you actually, February 7 in the gym.
It’s been a rough winter and everyone needs to get out of the house. It’s perfect for picking up a Valintines day gift from Kloss Ave Kreations or from one of the other vendors. There’s something there for everyone and your favorite person.

Greetings,
Those of you who have been following me may have noticed that at every event I have my moose setup and displayed. After all the years I’ve had him, he is (was) part of my brand so to speak. Almost a mascot 😎
Well I sold him, he’s gone to a new home. I really thought that I would have been saddened more than I was, nope that never happened.
Now I have to decide whether to make another or create something new, decisions decisions.

Happy 2026 !!!!
There’s not a lot going on right now. I need to finish the trim in my mud room. Actually I’ve been procrastinating doing that chore, sooooo….that means I’ve been working on some new Kreations. The more I neglect my chores the more creative I get making sawdust…lol
This year I’m in few new markets so keep an eye out for where I’m going to be next.

Greetings,
As always I’ve been kind of quiet lately, busy but quiet.
Wrapping up a good year in the office…lol.
I have been making a little sawdust, not much, just enough to keep me from withdraws. I’m plotting out my spring Kreations and running into a reoccurring issue, I’m easily distracted and make weird stuff on the fly. I don’t normally post progress pictures, but I broke that tradition a while back with the floating cup and dragon. Stay tuned…
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas as I probably won’t post again until after Christmas.

Greetings everyone,
I have a couple of different things to discuss today that have been on my mind.
Yup, I’m doing that thinking thing again.
As you know, my reindeer have been a huge success this year, so I made two changes for the better with them. The first change was making them with western red cedar, the second was cutting them so that I would have a thicker ‘waste’ profile side. The thicker side was intended for marketing purposes like a wooden business card type thing. That didn’t happen.

I just finished a show at the Laporte fairgrounds during their Pioneer Days Christmas event. I had GREAT time, sold a few things and made a few new friends.
A lot of my fellow vendors judge their shows by how much they make and the traffic involved. Rightfully so as everyone wants to make a few coins.
Yes, I made a bucks but the biggest success of the weekend was passing out the above mentioned cutoffs of the reindeer. I passed them out to the kids that made their way around my display.
I was able to grace over 50 children with a free wooden reindeer to color and add to their own family collection.
That is the sign of a successful show and I’m extremely grateful for that opportunity.
Lastly, on my long rant…
As you know, I do my best when avoiding other responsibilities. Today instead of making a few reindeer I decided to try making a floating cup, a dragon and a tall box that looks like a flame. I wonder how I did.

Greetings everyone,
I’ve been quiet online lately but I have a reason…I’ve been making reindeer. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but see, my shop is unheated. Oh, I have a wood burner and use a propane heater at times, but I don’t have any ‘scraps’ to burn, only unbuilt projects.
Any way, back to the reindeer. I acquired some Western Red cedar and handcrafted 20 some deer. The grain and color is awesome, some of the best I’ve seen in years.
Normally I would post a picture or two but I packed up the car yesterday…bummer!!!
That means you have to come out to the Laporte County fairgrounds tomorrow and see/purchase one before they are all gone.

Greetings,
It was a great pleasure to share my Kreations with everyone at Corpus Christi church Saturday. There was a lot of interest in some of my work, another special order to fulfill and I sold out of the traditional reindeer 😇

But fear not my friends, I scored some red western cedar and it is going to make some awesome reindeer!!!
My next opportunity to showcase and sell is December 6/7 at Laporte county fair grounds for Pioneer Days. I plan on making about 20 sets of cedar reindeer by then if my ‘honey do’ list allows me the time…lol
