We are so proud of our youngest grandson! Damon turned 21 just 2 days ago,and this morning he left his family behind as he embarks on a very important, and life changing experience. He has been dreaming of, and planning for, this experience for quite some time. This was his plan, and he overcame some hurdles to make it happen. There might be hiccups along the way, as there are with most life experiences. That’s OK, too. Hiccups and glitches mold and shape us into the person we are destined to be, and the life we are supposed to live. Grandpa and I are so proud of the career path Damon has chosen, and wish only the best for you. You have been, and will be in our thoughts and prayers every day, and I pray that all our friends keep you in their prayers also while hion this journey.

Hi everybody! It has been SO LONG! As you know ( I hope you remember), I quit doing Lives several months ago due to some family medical issues. Well, I am happy to tell you those medical issues are finally over, and our son is doing well. God is so good! I was planning to resume my “ Cooking with Granny C.” Lives the first part of November. WELL, that obviously didn’t happen. On October 16, I took a bad fall and broke my Humerus Bone.(the large bone in the upper arm) in 2 places. I am in so much pain! I am scheduled for Shoulder Replacement surgery this Thursday (Nov. 14). I have not been able to do anything for the past month and, not sure how long it will be after surgery before I can get back in the kitchen.I am so disappointed! I have so many recipes I want to share with you all! I WILL be back … hopefully soon! I will keep you posted after surgery as to when I will be back in the kitchen with you all. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that surgery goes well and I can actually heal properly. And that I do not have to go to rehab..in the mean time, please watch some of my ‘Reruns’…those videos you have seen before and maybe just forgotten. Also please ask your friend and family to watch, follow and share my videos also. I’ll be back LIVE just as soon as possible. Thank you!

If people would only listen to, or read,the Complete story! Yes, Kamala Harris DID say that every person affected in the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene would be receiving $750 for IMMEDIATE help, for food, formula, whatever. What you FAILED to hear, or read,is that the Federal Government will also be covering 100% of the local cost for food water and shelter, and 10’s of thousands of dollars in federal funds in local costs . Which is a FAR CRY from just the $750 some of you want to try and convince people into believing the Government doesn’t care for those affected. Maybe you should get your facts straight before trying to get people riled up. Kamala Harris AND Joe Biden DO care for the American public, far, far more than some of you are willing to accept. They even care for YOU, unlike a man I hear spouting off trying to make himself look good, instead of everyone else. Rant over

Hi everyone! I wanted to come on and give you a quick update as to why I haven't been doing cooking videos lately. Trust me, I would LOVE to get back in the kitchen with you all. Here's the skinny...several months ago our son went to the eye specialist, who sent him for some tests. He was referred to his neurologist, who sent him on to "someone better than me", is what he said. Long story short, our son has had 3 brain operations in the last 3 weeks. We have spent most of the month at the hospital. He is home, staying with us now, while he heals and recovers, however it is going to be a long road to a full recovery. It has been very stressful on all of us.
Add to this, grand kids medical and dental visits (mom works days, so we take them), plus our own medical issues that we are dealing with.
SO...I think you can see why you haven't been seeing me on Facebook, in Granny C's Kitchen. I do not have a definite date to start my cooking lives just yet, but please know that as soon as our life slows down, and somewhat returns to normal, I will be back. In the meantime, I will be re-posting some of the older video's again. Just remember, I WILL be back with some new and exciting recipes! I appreciate each and every one who follows my page. Thank you, and if you believe in prayer, please keep my family on your prayer list. I have faith that God is in control, and that our son will be healed in Jesus name!

Sorry to Granny Cs Kitchen viewers. I just don't feel quite right. My whole body is quivering, and I feel warm. SO, please forgive me, but I think I better take it easy, and do what they say..."drink plenty of fluids and rest." I had planned to cook Jambayala today, but that will be on tomorrows menu instead. I'm so sorry. I enjoy cooking with you all visiting me in the kitchen so much, but for now, I'm going to lay down.
