Never tell a child,
"Don't tell your mom."

Just because YOUR intentions are good,

“Shhh, don’t tell your mom I’m giving you candy”
or
“Here’s an extra scoop of ice cream, shh don’t tell mom!”

doesn't mean the next person to tell the child,

"it's a secret, don’t tell mom"

will have good or safe intentions.

Don't set that precedent that keeping secrets from mom is normal.

Delete the photos of your children that you’ve posted on social media, especially if they’re public.

Then stop posting their faces moving forward.

Create a group chat to share photos with family. Buy a digital photo frame to upload photos directly to. Download a shared album app.

Stop posting your children for every person you went to high school with, or that weird guy you met at a cookout who friend requested you on the spot so you felt obligated to add him, or the people from that one work event 12 years ago…

Plus, when you tag family members, their WHOLE friends list can now see your children too.

Maybe you trust YOUR friends list.
