We need more people at the sawmill! Looking for motivated workers for various positions starting with board stackers. No experience necessary. We could also use anyone with sawmill experience! Starting date in Late September. We have brand new sawmill equipment and will do on site training.

Our forester, Mike McKain — worked along side my grandpa, Larry Hickman for more than 40 years managing the Hickman forests. His approach is holistic, always thinking about the whole picture and what's best for the health of the forest and regeneration. Selective group openings often happen intentional from a harvest. These let sunlight reach the forest floor, allowing the saplings to take off. Left alone, forests fill in with invasives and disease — managed well, they support more wildlife, pull down more carbon, and grow the quality oak that ends up as the floor under your feet. Wood is always the answer to whatever kitchen vibe you like! Wood cabinets and wood flooring are a great combo. Wood is softer and easier on your back than tile, it has some forgiveness when you drop something. I personally love a floor with knots and character in the kitchen to help blend the life that happens with kids and dogs in a high traffic area.
