It was a great day celebrating with my fellow artists and participating in Local Tides Venice first year anniversary celebration! I’m so grateful to be a part of this amazing group!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, support small business, shop local, and share in such a special milestone. Seeing our store filled with friends, family, customers, and our community meant more than we can say.
We especially want to thank all of our incredible local artists and makers who help make Local Tides what it is. Your talent, creativity, hard work, and trust in us have created something truly special. This store would not exist without each of you.
Over the past year we’ve built more than just a shop — we’ve built a community filled with coastal creativity, support, friendship, and local love. We are beyond grateful for every purchase, every kind word, every share, and every person who has walked through our doors.

Oh hey..look who’s in the paper this weekend! I’m so proud to be a part of Local Tides Venice ! This shop has given me a whole new perspective on my art as well as a wonderful avenue to promote it. The exposure that has come from working in this amazing little store has blown me away. We currently have 14 artists in our store and a local paper wanted to do a feature on each one of us. My turn came up this weekend and our reporter, Audrey, did a wonderful job. She got the name of my town wrong- shows it as Rock Port instead of Rock Island, maybe some sort o autocorrect issue, and while it was pretty cool that she mentioned my step kids, she made it sound like they were mine originally. And that’s actually fine with me because I do love them it gets confusing when you make extra effort to clarify “step” in there as if they aren’t truly accepted as your own. So overall, a great nod to me and our beautiful store.

What a beautiful day for the Manta Market today! Started out at a cool 55 degrees and climbed to 80 by the afternoon! Handed out a lot of flyers for Local Tides Venice for all those who want to find local art any time, saw some of my favorite repeat customers and made a lot of new friends!
