Art of Recycle A non-profit Community Educational Center in Ephrata. Free crafting. Free teaching resources. We offer volunteer and community service opportunities.

Non-profit organization that accept donations of new and gently used art supplies and teaching materials. We teach art, life skills, social skills, job skills, math, measuring, reading and writing. We use your donations as teaching tools. We hire disadvantaged youth, adults and seniors. Our excess is donated to teachers, non-profits and home-school co-ops. AoR is invested in the equity of our communities.

The Craft Castle Challenge kicked off with a humongous roar today! A lion bouncing on a trampoline was one of the first crafts made, with the theme being “Circus”! AoR has extended hours today, Oct 17, until 5pm.

Every Saturday AoR hosts a Craft Castle Challenge in our famous UnderSea Crafting Area. Each participant 17 yrs and younger receives a $5 discount card to make purchases in AoR’s craft store. Spend your $5 on the day of the Challenge or build them up to buy something big. The Craft Castle Challenge is free and designed to motive little minds to craft and to learn about their dollars and coins while having fun.



AoR is located at 27 Cloister Ave in Ephrata, Open to the public 9am to 6pm Monday thru Friday, 9 to 3 on Saturdays.

Junk Drawer Pumpkins! Thursday Morning’s Free Art Class will be filled with the sounds of saws, hammers and staplers as our crafters build pumpkins from all of the junk stuff that is donated to AoR! 10am to 12pm every Thursday!

Art of Recycle is open today, It’s Indigenous People’s Day!

AoR’s jewelry room is getting a great stock of new products. These beautiful recycled plastic jewelry beading strings comes in 9 different colors and are just the beginning. We also have twine, copper wire (20, 22, and 24 GA tinted in different colors), jewelry clasps, and lots of new jewelry and beads hitting the shelves this week. Did I mention that we have porcupine quills?

AoR is open from 9am to 6pm Monday thru Friday, 9 to 3 on Saturdays (extended Best Kept Secret Tour hours on Saturday Oct 17th and 24th to 5pm). Located in Ephrata, PA.

Art of Recycle’s Saturday hours are extended today until 5pm due to the Best Kept Secret Tour. Do you have your tickets yet? We still have bags, but we are running out quickly!

Meet “Bounce”! Bounce made himself some airplane wings. Bounce likes to bounce off of trees and he’ll climb up a mountain and fly down the mountain with his wings. (Notice the airplane lights on the wings?) Bounce is someone very special to a little person.

The Craft Castle Challenge took flight this morning at 10am with the challenge of the day is Airplanes.

The first participant of the day created “Blaze”. Blaze is a firefighter jet that finds danger and dumps water on fire. In Blaze’s free time he likes to play at the arcade and go bowling. What a creative mind!
