Not sure what stopped me at this very spot. Was it the palette—the dark doorway, weathered stone, black ironwork, and a single cognac office chair? Or the need to know the story behind this setup. Who sits here, and what’s behind that door?

It’s the OG BeBe’s birthday! 🎉🥂

My mom, the namesake of BeBe Design House, and our studio manager. I get to call her Mom, and we get to have her keeping things together at the studio—with a little motherly supervision, of course. Because what African mother clocks in and doesn’t immediately appoint herself everyone’s mother at the office? 👀🤦🏾‍♀️😂❤️

Sunday Soulscape: Making time for me.

I signed up for an 8-week challenge to see if I can actually prioritize myself for eight weeks. I’m pretty good at making time for everyone else. Me? Apparently I needed a challenge. That’s the athlete mentality in me. 😂🤦🏾‍♀️

Sunday is the only day I get to sleep in, but I decided this was worth it. So at 7:30 this morning, I was out doing a 3+ mile run, HIIT exercises, a 2,000-meter row, and playing my favorite game with the people around me: “Getting to know you, getting to know all about you…” 😂 You know the song. lol.

As physical as this is, my mental health is a big reason I’m here. Life has been throwing plenty of sh*t my way, alongside all the good and blessings. Trust, I’m grateful for the good. I still need somewhere to work through the rest.

Today, that meant giving up sleep for sweat and good company. It’s ok to take time for yourself. Happy Sunday! 🙌🏾

Sunday Soulscape | Take Me to Church

Whenever I travel, I try to visit a church. I’m obsessed with the architecture and design, whether the space is extravagant or beautifully simple. The tapestries, the stonework, the carved wood, the art—and the history held within it all. I always leave with inspiration for my own work.

I grew up Catholic, though these days I consider myself more spiritual. Walking into a church still brings up a mix of feelings I can’t always explain. Maybe that’s part of why I keep going.

Sunday Soulscape: When Sundays Feel Different

After being away all week, I’m ready to get back to my studio—and to these people.

I used to dread Sundays when I worked in corporate because Sunday meant one thing: tomorrow is Monday. 😩

Now, I get to walk into a studio I built, filled with things I love, laughter, Afrobeats playing in the background, and people who care for this baby like it’s their own. This is what it’s all about.

TOMORROW IS MONDAY.
