🎉Happy 3 Year Anniversary to BeBe Design House 🎉

3 years ago this weekend, the name BeBe Design House came to me while spending time with my mother and daughter.

Three generations.
Three strong women.
One vision.

I didn’t fully know where this journey would take me… I just knew I had this deep feeling that I was supposed to build something meaningful, beautiful, creative, and bigger than myself.

Since then, there’s been a lot of risk, long nights, lessons, growth, pivoting, stress 😭… and also some really beautiful moments I’ll never forget.

What’s crazy is sometimes I’m moving so fast trying to build the next thing, I forget to stop and realize:
wow… we really built this.

So as we celebrate our 3rd Anniversary Season throughout 2026, I wanted to start at the beginning — with the story behind the name.

And trust me… we’re only getting started as we kick off our Anniversary Season. We have some fun event and more planned. Stay tune.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who quietly changed entire generations with their sacrifices, work ethic, and courage. ❤️🙌🏾

If anyone ever wonders where I get my drive from… look no further than my mama.

She built a successful career in her 20s, earned a Nobel Peace Prize 😳💪🏾, sacrificed it all to send me to the U.S. so I could build the life I’ve built, then had the courage to leave everything familiar behind, move here herself, start over, go back to school, earn her college degree… and now, her Master’s Degree in Manufacturing.

Watching my mother continue to evolve, grow, and chase knowledge at every stage of life reminds me that reinvention has no age limit. Trailblazers don’t just talk about resilience… they live it.

And somewhere between my mother’s strength and my kids’ future, I’m realizing that legacy isn’t just what we leave behind. It’s what we model in real time.

During our weekend at SCAD, I had one of those full-circle moments. On the outside I was cool, but on the inside I was dancing for joy.

I met Genevieve Gorder.

Not fangirling, not losing it… just two moms standing there, trying to be cool in front of our daughters, talking about life, her experience on Trading Spaces, and our careers. And somehow, in between all that, getting a little emotional about sending our babies off to university.

That part hit me more than anything.

Because like a lot of us, that show meant something. Back in college, I was obsessed. I’ve always loved design, but that era made it feel possible. I had my whole imaginary design crew in my head—Genevieve, Paige Davis, Ty Pennington, Vern Yip… all of them shaping what I thought this industry could look like. I met Ty Pennington while working at Abbot Pharmaceuticals (another life time).

Then I’m standing there years later, not as a fan—but as a designer, a mom, a woman in the same space… having a real conversation.

I also had the chance to talk with her husband Christian Dunbar, and that conversation was just as real. He shared some solid life advice with my daughter that I know will stick with her.

Both of them were so generous with their time. No rush, no ego… just present.

And honestly, seeing them not as “design icons” for a moment—but as parents in the same season of life—shifted something for me.

It reminded me that the people we look up to are just… people. Living, building, raising, figuring it out like the rest of us.

And somehow, that made the moment even more special.

This week in Vegas reminded me how powerful it is to step into rooms that see you — rooms that stretch your vision, affirm your purpose, and remind you you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

I went to Vegas Market expecting inspiration…
but I left with alignment, community, and confirmation. Just what I needed to start this year off right

One of the best parts was experiencing it all through my Design assistant’s eyes.
Mentorship is sacred — legacy in motion — and watching someone grow beside you, not behind you, is its own kind of blessing.

And the beauty?
We didn’t walk those rooms alone.
We connected with designers, vendors, coaches, contractors, architects from around the country and world — people who instantly felt like part of our creative tribe and reminded us how global and collaborative this industry truly is.

This week showed me that Market doesn’t just grow your business — it grows your vision, your network, and your world.

Here’s to bigger rooms, aligned growth, mentorship, and the unexpected connections that meet you exactly where you are. 🙌🏾🥰
