The contractors I work with share with me how they get a call for an estimate… without any drawings🤯as much as people want to understand how much something will cost, to really get a “true” estimate, drawings are necessary. It’s a wise investment of their hard earned money 💲💲💲
People seem to think that pricing a project is easy, it’s not… not when done correctly. And anyone who throws a number out there without drawings is doing both you and your remodel a disservice- and typically whatever number they throw at is going to go up as the work gets started. “Oh, you want a glass mosaic tile, that’ll cost more to do” and the remodel cost goes up…
Drawings allow you to see the end result, work out all the details and incorporate ideas you may not have entertained. Then, the pricing is based on exactly what the contractor is building enabling them to work efficiently with no surprises.
