It’s been a while and the months have flown by… Rotator Cuff surgery in February still has me in recovery mode. If you know me you understand that limits can be a challenge so the last 5 months have been filled with lots of extra special distractions. Camping (a lot), grandson time 💕, family time, gardening and plenty of time off grid has certainly helped. I opened the shop to test myself with cushions for a special client’s Morris chairs. They turned out great although my shoulder says too soon! Soooo fortunately Rick has some more camping planned. I am a blessed girl to have the best clients EVER and a husband who takes care to give me the distractions I need to slow down and heal. If you are on my waitlist I want to say again THANK YOU! My advice to all of you-Take care of your shoulders…they are precious. 💕💕

Trying my hand (literally only my left hand) at making a farmhouse cheese using the incredibly delicious A2 milk! Ok, Rick has actually helped me a lot… we’ve also played around with yogurt, feta, butterkase, halloumi and Brie. It’s been a fun project to distract my mind during recovery and I can’t wait to make 2 handed cheese!

Let the healing begin! Rotator cuff surgery was yesterday and I’m so glad to be able to get this over with! Starting this day with pain meds and breakfast of champions from the most amazing man ever. 💕 I’m also incredibly grateful for all my supportive and PATIENT clients. This will definitely be a setback and the chance to once again practice balance and a “kinder to my body” pace!

A little late to the 2025 recap party but here goes! This is a little long and honestly 2025 felt long! It was a challenging year for Yellow Cottage Life but also full of some really special times and changes that I will always be thankful for. This year had some tough projects and a few really stretched me! I found myself absent from social media a lot and I slowed my pace way down. I think these are good things! I will start 2026 with some shoulder surgery, a long recovery with more slowing down but filled with the other parts of my life that bring me joy and refresh my heart. I have some fun ideas for Yellow Cottage Life moving forward! THANK YOU to every single amazing client that I have. It’s been such an honor to get to know you and help transform your special furniture. #2025

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Last night we had a full house family celebration and this morning is quiet reflection with a grateful heart for the love and grace of our savior Jesus in our lives. We love you all!

It’s been a minute, but we are thrilled to deliver this guy today! This chair challenged me in so many ways. Lots of deep breaths, prayers, starting over and sore body parts! It was an honor to have the opportunity to do this chair for another one of my amazing, patient and supportive clients.
