🌿🤎 Soft, collected, imperfect & completely charming.
There’s something magical about color that doesn’t cover up the story of the wood… it simply becomes part of it. 🌿✨
Pat German Small diluted Unicorn SPiT down into a dreamy, watercolor-like wash & took it right to the bare wood plank walls of this sweet little garden entryway in Maine.
Instead of hiding the knots, rings & grain, those soft washes of earthy color settle into the wood & make every beautiful imperfection stand out. The result feels like it’s been there forever — sun-washed, well-loved & tucked inside a little cottage garden where herbs are drying, flowers are hanging from the rafters & muddy garden boots are probably waiting by the door. 🤎🌼
THIS is one of my favorite things about SPiT. You decide how loud or how quiet you want the color to be. Use it concentrated for bold, vibrant color or dilute it with water until it whispers.
And sometimes… a whisper is exactly what a space needs. 🌿
Beautifully done, Pat. This little corner looks like something straight out of a cottagecore daydream.
