When we say our materials can become almost anything, this is exactly what we mean! One of our customers recently transformed live-edge biocycle poplar slabs into a stunning custom console table. The project highlights the natural character of the wood, preserving the live edges and unique grain patterns while creating a functional piece that serves as both seating and gathering space in their home.

Have a project you've made with materials from BRING? We'd love to see it! Customer creations are one of our favorite reminders of the value and potential hidden in reclaimed and surplus materials. Send it to: [email protected]

As the school year comes to a close, we're celebrating an incredible year of environmental education across Lane County!

Our K–12 Education Coordinator, Jack Greenberg, has spent the year visiting classrooms and leading waste facility tours for over 2400 students in ten Lane County school districts, helping participants better understand waste prevention, recycling, food waste reduction, and the impact of their everyday choices.

From sorting activities and hands-on lessons to behind-the-scenes tours of local waste and reuse facilities, students had the opportunity to see where materials go after they leave the curb and explore practical ways to reduce waste in their homes, schools, and communities.

We're grateful to the teachers and community partners who welcomed us this year—and especially to the hundreds of curious students who asked thoughtful questions, shared great ideas, and reminded us why this work matters.
