The September Color of the Month from Tributary Yarns is called Thao's Dahlias. The color this month was inspired by a painting by my friend Thao Le Khac. I love Thao's paintings. They are somehow simple and detailed at the same time.

We dyed our Stream Sock 2.0 base as well as a few skeins of our River Silk and Merino base. A reminder that if you love our colors, you can sign up for a subscription to receive a skein of the Color of the Month each month.

Add a shimmery halo to your next project! You can use Mountain Mohair on its own or held with a strand of another yarn for sweaters, tops, shawls, hats and more.

We have a LOT of Tributary Yarns in the store right now, so I thought it would be fun to feature some pattern ideas.

The Community Shawl by Andrea Hilton was designed for this yarn. This shawl is an easy way to dress up any outfit. I love the delicate stitch pattern on a section of the shawl. This pattern only takes 1 skein of our Mountain Mohair!

Tributary Worsted is a super soft and squishy, 100% superwash Merino yarn. This is a heavy worsted, so it's perfect for projects calling for 18 stitches over 4 inches.

Woolly Wormhead designs the most interesting hats. Muratura would be gorgeous in Tributary Worsted. You could choose a variegated or tonal for this hat, either would work.

If you are looking for a cozy sweater to wear all winter long, the Kallias sweater by Isabell Kraemer would be beautiful in Tributary Worsted. You can do this sweater in one color or add some color block sections to the bottom of it.

The Secret Sweeties Charm Bracelets from The Woobles have sold out each time we’ve had them, so I ordered a whole bunch this time! These are so cute.

We have a LOT of Tributary Yarns in the store right now. I thought it would be fun to feature our different yarn bases and give you some pattern ideas for them.

Our Stream Sock base is a bouncy 85% Superwash Merino and 15% nylon blend. It's perfect for socks but you can also use it for shawl, hats, tops, sweaters and baby projects.

I've made the Love Your Sweater (LYS) by Becca Anderson twice! I used Stream Sock for both of them. This is a quick and fun knit. It fits well and looks great in this yarn.

You can use Stream Sock for any single skein shawl but I'll recommend my Humboldt Fog Shawl because it's easy and enjoyable to knit

We have a LOT of Tributary Yarns in the store right now. I thought it would be fun to feature our different yarn bases and give you some pattern ideas for them!

First up is our River Silk and Merino: a single ply, fi*****ng weight blend of merino and silk. It is our most popular base when we go to yarn festivals! This yarn has that gorgeous silk lustre that is perfect for shawls but it also works well for tops and sweaters.

The Tide and Slough shawl by Andrea Hilton was designed for this yarn. It is an elegant crescent shaped shawl that combines simple stockinette with a slipped stitch pattern. It's a perfect pattern to show off this beautiful yarn.

The Tiny Windows shawl (designed by me) was also designed for River Silk and Merino and a silk/mohair blend yarn. TWe have kits available in the store or you can put your own colors together.
