This "Western" remodel is one of my favorites. My clients specifically asked for a western look: and with a reasonable budget I was able to add the touches, such as wrought iron door pulls and hinges to represent my interpretation of Western.

How Healthy is your home? What I am talking about is your home's environmental quality: what toxins are you and yours breathing in every day? Most likely some lead, mold and pesticides to name a few. Just because we all are now aware of the horrible truth about second hand cigarette smoke it does not mean our homes are now a "healthy" environment for us. Small children are uniquely vulnerable to the home environment. The drink more water, eat more food, and breathe more air per pound of body weight than adults. Their hand-to-mouth behavior as well as their close proximity to the ground while they play are two more factors that magnify their exposure that can result in asthma and more serious respiratory ailments. Molds, pesticides and stored solvents have been proven to affect neurological and cognitive behavior as well as brain development in infants.
How depressing, what to do? Get rid of your carpet and depending on where you live open up your windows for at least an hour each day. We have become a society that is "closed in"- we
