“Slatted Sunshine “
The first time I got excited about the effect of slatted light was when I watched American Gigelo . It really captured the artistic ethic of the time. I had an apartment with a white loveseat and a feature wall of navy blue wallpaper with beige dots and everything was spare and clean. MTV was new and played only music videos and life was good.
This is a portrait of my sister and my uncle during a recent cruise. We are old and life is not as good.
