I need more acorn tops! Let me know if you live near an acorn producing tree that has large tops. Wearable nature is fun.

Both are made from acorn tops and include dried mushrooms, crystals, moss, and snail shells that I found in my garden (naturally passed).

Happy Memorial Day!

The gallery is closed today, but we wanted to announce our next show and see what kind of amazing work you want to share with everyone.

Title: Make Me Wanna Holler! Throw Both My Hands in the Air
Show Date: June 26th 5-8pm
Submission Deadline: June 11th

This exhibition is heavily inspired by Marvin Gaye’s song “Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)” from his 1971 album “What’s Going On”, and as a continuation of our September show “Why Aren’t You Outraged? Pt II” . Mr. Twymon was struck with inspiration while listening to the song after the tragic events in Minnesota involving I.C.E. Having lived through the Civil Rights Movement, his generation is watching history repeat itself.

A World in an Acorn - Nature Necklace

The goal with this piece was to create a terrarium styled miniature piece that is wearable daily. It's a combination of my favorite elements which include the medicinal turkey tail mushrooms (trametes versicolor), crystals, and an ethically sourced snail shell encased in an acorn top. How will it hold up with minimal chemicals? Stay tuned to find out.
