# Meet Sakura the Sea Turtle! 🌸🐢
Say hello to Sakura, my newest crochet creation! This sweet sea turtle is dressed in the softest pink and white, inspired by delicate cherry blossoms. With those gorgeous sparkly eyes and that incredibly huggable chenille texture, she's already stolen my heart!
Sakura's an old soul with an adventurous spirit. She's been swimming the oceans for what feels like lifetimes, collecting wisdom from every wave and current she's encountered. But don't let that ancient wisdom fool you – Sakura's all about following her heart, whether that means taking the scenic route through a coral reef or befriending the most unlikely ocean creatures. She believes the best journeys are the ones where you let your heart be your compass, even if it means swimming against the tide sometimes.

Sea turtles are some of the ocean's most incredible navigators, often traveling thousands of miles between feeding grounds and nesting beaches. They can live to be over 50 years old, with some species reaching 100! Female sea turtles have an amazing homing instinct, returning to the exact beach where they were born to lay their own eggs, sometimes decades later. Sea turtles have been around for over 100 million years, making them true ancient mariners who shared the oceans with dinosaurs. Unlike land turtles, sea turtles can't retract their heads and flippers into their shells, but their streamlined bodies make them graceful swimmers who can hold their breath for hours while resting.
