I studied Interior Design at CSUSacramento and I am the kind of person who always has a project or two that I am working on. I started holding a few workshops for friends at my home in the summer of 2015. In this past year, I had decided to expand my idea of these workshops and created "The Creative Sister". The workshops are still held at my home, in my workshop, and now I try to offer two or thr
ee per month. I try to keep a variety of types of workshops and I take requests (if they are a project that fit the workshop setting). I supply all the materials that are needed. It is a pretty casual atmosphere. Each attendee often brings a treat to share with the whole group. Nothing fancy, just yummy. At the beginning of the workshop, I explain the process of making the project and show different tips and techniques, then everyone gathers their supplies they would like to use and gets to work. I do not approach the workhop like a class. Everyone works at their own pace. I often give a few options to allow everyone to create their own unique piece. I am there to help out, give design advice, and, hopefully, inspire you to try something new. I love seeing all the different varieties of designs each of the attendees come up with and the satisfaction of seeing what they made. I also make custom hand painted signs, hat racks, etc. You can see many of the projects I have worked on lately in the pictures I have posted.
