🫐✨ There’s just something about a fresh pan of cinnamon rolls… ✨🫐

Soft, warm, and layered with that classic cinnamon swirl, these come out of the oven ready to be shared — or not. No judgment here.

This batch got the blueberry treatment, finished with a generous layer of frosting and just enough fruit to bring a little brightness to all that cozy goodness.

Cinnamon rolls are always available by the pan, and if you’re feeling like mixing it up, fruit add-ins are an easy way to make them your own.

🍋✨ Back in the kitchen, chasing a little nostalgia… ✨🍋

I’ve been working on a new cookie inspired by those classic Lemonhead candies — bright, citrusy, and just the right kind of sweet.

This was a pilot batch, and it got really close. The flavor is there, just needs a little more lemon and a bit of fine-tuning to get the texture exactly where I want it. That’s part of the process — small tweaks until it feels just right.

This is also the kind of thing that often finds its way into the Monthly Mystery Cookie Boxes (here: https://www.dorke1.com/store-page/p/monthly-cookie-box-6-cookies) first. New ideas, test flavors, and the occasional surprise before anything officially lands on the menu.

Boxes go out mid-month, and they’ve become a fun way to share what’s happening behind the scenes in the kitchen.

I recently had the chance to send some cookies over to a group of students, and I got this message back:

“Very Good, Very Very Good, Perfect, Not too dry – not too gooey – just right, Delicious, Scrumptious, Good texture, a hint of cinnamon… I want another, Mmmm good, Fantastic, Incredible, Sehr Gut…”

I don’t know if it gets much better than that. 😊

Hearing reactions like this — especially from kids who are honest in the best way — is such a good reminder of why I love doing this. Just making something simple that people genuinely enjoy.

I’m really grateful I got to be a small part of their day. 💜

The Northern Lights collection has been finding its way into everyday moments — soft layers, easy comfort, and just enough color to stand out without trying too hard.

Over time, things grow, shift, and settle into what they’re meant to be — and this felt like the right moment for a new look.

The heart of it hasn’t changed. Still the same cookies, the same care, and the same love for creating something worth sharing. Just a logo that feels a little more like home now.

You’ll start seeing this new look on things moving forward, while some of the older pieces stick around for a bit — a small reminder of how far this little kitchen has come.

🍫✨ A little something special from this month’s subscription box… ✨🍫

This month, subscribers received my newest Red Velvet Cookie — and it’s all about the flavor. Deep Dutch‑processed cocoa, smooth vanilla notes, and white chocolate chips that bring that familiar creamy finish to every bite.

It’s rich without being heavy, balanced without being overly sweet, and just indulgent enough to feel special.

These aren’t officially on the menu just yet, but they’re getting very close. The feedback from this month’s box has been so encouraging, and I’ve loved hearing what everyone thinks.

(And yes — this version leans into flavor over food coloring, so the color is all natural.)
