In the fall, Fairfax County held a grand opening for Edsall Road Fire Station #26. Samaha provided architectural and design services for the expansion and renovation of the existing fire station which was expanded from approximately 8,300 SF to just over 14,159 SF on a 1.49 acre site.

DC Water's new Sewer Services Building at Ames Place replaces an aging and functionally inadequate existing facility with a new modernized facility that fits the current and future needs of the Sewer Services Group. The two-story building contains office space, a training room, locker rooms, and break room.

The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department's Scotts Run Fire Station #44 is featured in Fire Apparatus & Emergency Equipment Magazine. The new 13,850 SF fire station features three apparatus bays and serves the rapidly developing Tysons area.

The City of Manassas Fire Rescue Department's new Station #21 is featured in Fire Apparatus & Emergency Equipment Magazine. The Samaha designed station opened this past year and provides the City with a new state-of-the art facility that is reflective of Manassas' "Historic Heart, Historic Beat" slogan.

Samaha Project Manager Ken Cahoon attended the ribbon cutting of one of our newest fire stations, the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Station #21. We are excited that this station is now open and serving the community.

The newly renovated Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company #20, which meets modern operational requirements and includes a new museum bay addition for permanent display of the fire company's antique 1929 Seagrave fire truck, recently achieved certification.

Samaha is excited that our "We Bee-Leaf In You" Canstruction entry has been recognized with a 4th place finish for Best Use of Labels in the 2019 Canstruction International competition! We are always proud to participate and look forward to hopefully gathering again in 2021 for our next creation.

CANstruction is a charity that holds design and build competitions with cans, which are donated to local food banks or community feeding programs. Each year Samaha participates in the competition with an original "canstruction". This year we created “We Bee-Leaf In You”, which won the award for Best Use of Labels.

F. Thomas Lee, AIA, LEED AP, ICC, Ken Cahoon, AIA, LEED AP, and Beth McArthur represented Samaha at the 2019 FIERO Symposium. Mr. Lee and Ms. McArthur presented “A Proven Process for High Performance Interiors” at the conference.
