If you’ve got solid wood furniture, no matter how old it is, KEEP IT!!! This solid maple dresser built in 1953 definitely needed a refresh. There was significant water damage on the top and the drawers had plenty of wear. But being solid wood, all of the imperfections sanded out and it looks good as new! Very few furniture companies make truly solid wood pieces anymore. So bring me Grandma’s furniture and I’ll make it new again for you! 😉

Hi friends! I hope the summer has been treating you well! I’ve been quiet on social media, but actually have been pretty busy in the shop restoring pieces this summer. This was the first piece I restored. My client’s grandfather’s cedar chest was in desperate need of a refresh. It had plenty of scratches, chipped veneer, and finish that was faded in many spots. I stripped and sanded the entire piece and then custom stained it using 2 different stain colors to give it that rich gorgeous tone. Upon delivering it back to my client he said “I knew it would look good, but not THAT good!” 🥰 That’s the type of feedback I live for!

✨Full reveal! ✨ This set has a new fresh and modern look! I sanded out all the dings from the last 30 years and stained the tops in Antique Brown by . It was the perfect medium brown to go with my client’s other bedroom furniture. The bases are painted in Benjamin Moore’s White Opulence. It’s a lovely crisp white! We also updated the hardware including more modern keyhole covers for the top drawers. I can’t unsee the happy little nightstand, but I told my client, “no matter what happens in your day, your nightstand will always be happy to see you! 😂

Bye bye 30 years of daily key drops! The top of this dresser is actually veneer, so I removed the top coat with acetone which made sanding way easier. It sanded beautifully and is ready for a fresh coat of stain!

Another grandfather clock is in the books! It’s actually been 6 years since I did my last one and I forgot how much I like bringing these back to life! My client wanted display shelves put in to this clock that her father-in-law put together years ago. We updated the colors to match her other decor. We used White Opulence and Grenada Villa. The part that gets me the most excited is retrofitting the clock with a battery pack. Now not only is it a functional piece, but it tells the correct time again (not just twice a day 😉)

Anyone else in have a broken grandfather clock? Bring it to me and let me make it beautiful and working again! 😃

Hey friends! It’s been a while! I took a much needed business and social media break during the holidays. But now that the weather is warmer, the workshop is up and running again!

This gossip bench was actually my last piece of 2025. The wood was a bit warmer than my client’s floors so we went with Provincial by . It was the perfect cool brown to blend with her floors. This was my first gossip bench, and it was fun to breathe some life back into it!
