But don’t worry, we’re OPEN Saturday, and next weekend is our Shop Hop Weekend for a special Sunday shopping day!

Here's our upcoming weekend hours:

Monday, September 7: CLOSED
Saturday September 12: 10-2
Sunday, Sept. 13: 11-4

Sometimes the sweetest things show up in the mail 💕

We received this handwritten note from Marlene, one of our Shop Hop weekly drawing winners, and it absolutely made our day!

We started these weekly drawings as a fun little way to celebrate Shop Hop and everyone coming through the Cottage, so getting a note like this in return was such a lovely surprise.

If you've been following along lately, you've probably noticed my face popping up around here a lot! Hi, I'm Krysta!

What originally started as stepping in to help Sew Creative Cottage through a very difficult transition has turned into something much bigger.

This week, I officially closed a really meaningful chapter of my career with Opening Minds through Art (OMA) to put my energy into what's happening here at the Cottage.

My work for the past several years has centered around art, connection, community, and creating spaces where people feel like they belong, and those are things I am pretty excited to bring even more of to Sew Creative Cottage.

There's a LOT I am still figuring out (and an equally long list of ideas 🤩), but I am so excited about where the Cottage is headed.

More fabric? Obviously. More opportunities to learn? Definitely. More art, creativity, events, connection, and community? Absolutely.

We're really glad you're here for what's next 💕

We took a little field trip today! 🚗

Sarah and I snuck away from the Cottage and visited Anna's Sewing Center and Imagine That & More and had SO much fun checking out their shops!

One of my favorite parts of stepping into this industry has been getting to know the incredible people and places that make up our sewing and quilting community.

Two shops down…lots more to go! 😂💕

Our wonderful Karen Neuschaefer entered 8 pieces this year into the Lorain County Fair, and ribboned on ALL 8!

I absolutely love getting to see and celebrate the incredible artwork of the artists and makers in our community, and getting to share that with my kids makes it even more special.

Congratulations, Karen! Your work is beautiful, and we’re so lucky to have your creativity as part of Sew Creative Cottage.
