Every December, one box of lights goes missing. It’s never the one you labeled.
Here’s how to pack holiday decor so you can find it when it counts:
🏷️ Label the sides, not just the top. Once boxes are stacked, the top is the one thing nobody can see.
🔢 Number every bin and keep the list in your phone. ”Bin 4: tree skirt, stockings, extension cords.” Done.
💡 Wrap string lights around a hanger or a piece of cardboard. They come out untangled instead of as one giant knot.
🎄 Pack in reverse order. The tree goes in last so it comes out first.
📦 Use clear plastic bins with tight lids. You can see inside, they stack cleanly, and they hold up better than cardboard.
