Not all latex is created equal. And we’re pretty particular about what we get into bed with. 😏 Talalay latex is made through a specialized process that creates an airy, breathable material with a uniquely responsive feel. Unlike traditional memory foam, it gently contours to your body to relieve pressure without that slow, sinking sensation. It also allows for better airflow and is known for maintaining its shape and comfort over time.

We use premium Talalay latex in our popular Nirvana® mattresses and our all-latex Shangri-La because we know the materials inside your mattress make a big difference in how well you sleep.

Curious what all the fuss is about? Stop by our Fanwood showroom and let our Beducators help you feel the difference.

“Amazed, gobsmacked, bamboozled.” 😂 We might need to start using this as our new rating system.

Thank you for trusting Ron and the team with your sleep and for taking the time to recognize the care that goes into both our mattresses and the way we do business. Knowing you’ve never slept better is exactly what we want to hear after those first few nights on a new Shovlin. We’d say you found yourself a keeper!

Meet Edwin, one of our Dream Deliverers! 👋 One of his favorite parts of the job is answering customers’ questions during delivery, especially when they want to know why their old mattress didn’t last and what makes their new Shovlin different. His answer is always that better materials make for a mattress built to last.

He’s also an early riser, prefers a medium-firm mattress with a pillow top, and would happily ban snoring forever. Considering he used to sneak in the occasional passenger-seat nap between deliveries, we’ll trust his sleep expertise. 😏

Thanks for everything you do, Edwin! We’re so grateful to have you on the team.

Be honest: is your guest bed where your old mattress went to retire?

Before holiday guests arrive, give it a test run yourself. If one night has you counting down the hours until you’re back in your own bed, your guests probably won’t be too impressed, either.

Visit our showroom so our Beducators can help you find a comfortable option that fits the guest room without treating it like your primary bedroom budget. Just be careful. Upgrade the secondary bed too much, and your guests may extend their stay.

Thanks, Janet! We’re so glad you came back and took the time to make sure you found the right mattress for you. Sometimes you need to take a chance on a second date. 😉 James was happy to help, and it’s great to hear that your back is already feeling better and you’re sleeping better, too. Sounds like this one’s a keeper!

It’s what’s inside that counts. Especially when you’re going to spend every night together. 😉 Two mattresses can look almost identical on the outside and be completely different underneath the fabric. Coil construction, wire gauge, latex, foam, and the amount of each material determine how a mattress feels, how it supports your body, and how well it holds up over time.

At Shovlin, we’ve been handcrafting mattresses using time-honored techniques in our Fanwood factory since 1972, so we know exactly what goes into a well-made mattress. Our Beducators can explain what you’re actually paying for and help you find the construction that makes sense for the way you sleep.

Before you get into bed with a mattress, it pays to know what’s underneath the covers.
