This was truly 100 years ago.. (okay 12 year ago), but I often think about this day when I'm trying to decide "what is next" & just choosing to doing things "scared."
We set up in the pouring rain. Didn't know how to even open the tent. Didn't pack extra clothes. Moral support from my besties was top notch the day of & leading up to the event.
It's not the most professional curated branded setup... it was literally my work desk + items I had at home for decor because I couldn't afford to buy anything else after buying this pop up tent.
I designed, sewed, and hand stenciled all of my pillows - this show was just a few months after I taught myself how to use a sewing machine.
Many people asked to buy the decorative poofs that I bought on a whim at Michaels for like $5.
I sold about $200 worth of product, but minus the booth fee, supplies, gas, time; I absolutely lost money.
But.. I didn't leave feeling defeated... I felt motivated to figure out what is next & try something else.
I've learned that doing it scared has to be your mantra for trying new things or making hard decisions. β¨
