Meet Big Bertha!

Some vintage treasures are simply too good not to share!

This beauty is Big Bertha, a fabulous vintage Pyrex #664 four-quart casserole in the lovely Snowflake Blue pattern. Dating to the 1970s, this generously sized piece features a gorgeous blue finish, delicate white snowflake garland, and its clear glass lid.

Affectionately nicknamed “Big Bertha” by collectors, she measures approximately 12” across and 4” deep. With her classic color and timeless design, she’s a wonderful reminder of the days when Pyrex was made to be both practical and pretty.

Are you a Pyrex collector? Have you ever come across a Big Bertha? She’s waiting here for her next home.

📍 Come see her and the rest of our pyrex at Frost Antiques!

Something tells me these cats are up to something… 🐈‍⬛

This curious gathering of vintage cats has appeared just in time for Halloween. Sleek black cats that will glimmer in the slightest light, mysterious white ones, and one wonderfully bright yellow fellow sitting up tall—all with that unmistakable mid-century look.

A little mysterious, a little mischievous, and just the right amount of spooky. We’re not quite sure what they’re plotting. 🖤

Come see the whole crew at Frost Antiques & Gifts.

A little sunshine for a rainy Maine day.

We just brought in this striking block print by Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania artist Penny Z. Ross. Titled Daffodils, it’s hand-numbered 18/50, making it a limited-edition piece.

We love the bold graphic contrast. Cheerful without being too sweet, it would brighten a cozy room or bring a welcome pop of color to an otherwise quiet corner.

Framed and ready to hang.

Now at Frost Antiques & Gifts in Farmington.

Open Wednesday–Sunday, 10–4.

We’re not sure what this fellow has been up to, but judging by his gleeful grin, he’s pretty pleased with himself! With a fish in hand, his creel at his side, and a stump to steady him on the backside, this vintage cement garden figure has plenty of personality.

Perhaps he’s been enjoying more than just the great outdoors. 😉

A wonderfully quirky piece of vintage garden décor, ready to bring a little humor and character to someone’s garden or patio space.

📍 Find him at Frost Antiques & Gifts in Farmington, Maine.

A silver-plated tray instantly makes the ordinary feel a little more special.

These three round trays each have their own character—from ornate edges and raised details to the beautiful patina that comes with age.

Think coffee and tea, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a holiday centerpiece, or simply a pretty place to gather a few things on your table. They’re practical, decorative, affordable and just a little bit glamorous.

With the Farmington Fair just around the corner, we thought this 1940 poster was worth sharing.

Printed more than 85 years ago by Bradford & Co. of St. Joseph, Michigan, this original yellow and black poster has certainly seen a few fairs come and go.

The dates may have changed, but the tradition of gathering in Farmington for the fair lives on.

The 2026 Farmington Fair begins this Sunday, September 20.

The kind of chair that makes you want to settle in with a good book and stay awhile.

Beautifully sculpted wood arms and frame, a wonderfully warm mid-century silhouette, and original-looking neutral woven upholstery with the sweetest little button details. It’s equal parts comfortable, understated, and beautifully designed.

A timeless piece of Danish mid-century furniture that would fit just as beautifully in a modern home as it would tucked into a room full of antiques.

A little Danish design history just landed at Frost Antiques . 🇩🇰

This dining set is a good example of why we love mid-century furniture.

These six Model 7171 dining chairs were designed by Johannes Andersen and made by Uldum Møbelfabrik in Denmark. The chairs have beautifully curved backs, warm figured wood, and creamy upholstery — comfortable, sculptural and understated.

The table is equally handsome, with a metal inlay, gorgeous grain, and an additional leaf for when the dinner party grows.

Johannes Andersen was affectionately referred to as the “King of Danish Tables.” He played a massive role in shaping the global boom of Scandinavian design. He was known for bringing organic curves and graceful, functional forms to Danish modernism. His work with Uldum is sought after today, with collectors appreciating the combination of beautiful woods, thoughtful construction and those unmistakably fluid Scandinavian lines.

Six chairs. An expandable table. Beautiful craftsmanship. And a whole lot of style.

Now at Frost Antiques. ❤️
