A client recently told us they feel like every day they get to live inside their dream. That sentence is why we do this work. We come together in the studio knowing we are not just in the business of making pretty rooms. We are in the business of helping people feel like themselves in their own homes and the lives they live in them. Hearing this from a client is what keeps us motivated and lets us know we’re on the right track. ✨

Travel is what inspired me to start Meet West. It’s my favorite way to hone my eye, listen, and collect little snapshots of life that speak to me. Traveling on my own, I get to take in all the layers of culture and nature, the rhythms of life unfolding around me, and observe myself in them — what it is that draws me to a place, what lights me up, what I respond to.

I get to witness myself a little more closely and reconnect with my instincts. Windows down, radio alllllll the way up.

The places I’m drawn to and that we aim to create at Meet West feel real and alive. Greece is one of those places for me. Like the cliff side w**e bar on Sifnos that blew my mind with glassware stacked on the side of an old church, it’s usually the simplest and rawest spaces that touch me down deep. Not striving, not forced, just an idea executed with love and care — and an excellent playlist.

Greece has so much to offer and I just scratched the surface on my recent trip. Sharing my thoughts and the guide to the places I loved most on our first Substack post at our link in bio. Nothing compares to the feeling we have on shoot day or the thirty seconds after we open the door and let a client see their finished home for the first time. Candles lit, soundtrack playing, all the senses firing and life feels like a movie. This family waited months through a full renovation and trusted us through a thousand decisions and tweaks to the primary suite plan until we landed on what was just right for them. Watching them fall in love with the vision turned reality makes every one of those adjustments worth it. And who wouldn’t savor their getting ready routine right here? 🤍

Coming down from last week’s inspo trip to New York and figured it was a good time to share a peek at a project currently in the works that owes a little something to our repeat visits to the Hotel Chelsea. Meet Willow Avenue.

Our clients are a young family with the most charming craftsman that was ready for an aesthetic refresh and a major rethink of the layout and storage to keep up with their busy lives. Their design references? New Orleans, St. Petersburg, and Marrakech. Challenge happily accepted.

It felt like a holy-yes license to dial up the whimsy: perfectly imperfect texture and patina, unexpected pattern, saturated color, and pieces that feel collected rather than decorated.
For the kitchen, breakfast nook and bar in particular, we kept coming back to the Hotel Chelsea—the dark millwork, antique mirrors, glowing glass, and lusciously lived-in upholstery that somehow feels glamorous and a little undone at the same time.

A little grand, a little weird, and very much alive. Exactly where we like it. 🤌🏻

A hotel lobby where you can people watch for hours, the perfect blush wall color that makes you want to exhale and dance at the same time, a tile pattern I photographed and forgot I had saved until months later, the way the light reflects in just the right way through a curtain fabric. This is where a project really starts for me before a client even calls. Keeping my eyes open in the rest of my life is not separate from the work. It is the work. Travel is my favorite way to practice this art of noticing, and New York is one of those places that always feeds my eye and fills my cup. Here’s a peek at a few of things that made my camera roll from a trip this past weekend. 🤍

Every project has a moment where the plan on paper stops being what feels right. In my previous life in the corporate world, I used to override that feeling and stay the course anyway. Now, after seeing what possibilities and flow can unlock when I follow my gut, I trust that intuitive nudge enough to change course in the room when the feeling appears. That magic moment of inspiration isn’t something you can always plan for on a floor plan. It shows up when it shows up, and our job is to notice it. Here’s a little of what we’ve been cooking up lately both on the plan and off script. 🪩

We are beyond honored to share that our Sutton Street bunk room project is on the cover of At Home in Arkansas this August. From Rufio on the moodboard to fine tuning every inch of bunk storage and the sleeping experience before construction began, every choice in this space came together because our clients trusted us fully. Now, what was once an under-utilized attic is a hardworking kids zone where three brothers feel full permission to play and inspired to let their imaginations wander. Seeing this space in print and out in the world is such a treat and a testament to the joy and ease that underpinned the creative process on this project. Thank you to all the trades who took such pride in bringing this space to life, and thank you to our client who said yes and trusted us with their boys’ dreams. Grab your copy on stands now. 💙

We are so excited to see our Prestwick Parisian featured in . 💫 The story dives into how we reimagined an ornate, dated kitchen and dining room that didn’t function well into a calm, inviting space built to hold daily creativity and connection time. It’s a showcase of the craftsmanship of the talented trades and vendors like we are honored to collaborate with and home to one of our favorite vintage pieces we’ve sourced. Something about the messy, random imperfection of a marbleized pattern makes our heart beat a little faster. We are loving it everywhere from wallpapers to upholstery to the cover of our favorite notebook.
