Terms & Conditions;-

Embroidery;- All my hand embroidery designs are either my own, or are licensed designs. They are not to be copied, or used in any way without my written permission. Most designs are OOAK, as they are freehand. Similar designs may be produced, but there will be some differences. Goldwork;- Goldwork is a traditional form of embroidery that utilises fine wires that are surface

stitched to create designs. By the nature of the wire, there may occasionally be a sharp edge. If you wet them in any way, there is a possibility that colour may run. Jewellery;-

Most of my designs use sterling silver and gemstones. Both my silver supplies, and gemstones are purchased from reputable, long established merchants. My designs tend to come in under the weight where hallmarking would apply. Lengths, and fastenings can sometimes be altered - please just ask. General;-

Non commission, ready to send items will be posted out by first class Royal Mail within 3 working days of ordering. Commission items will be sent out within a 2-3 week lead time. This will be discussed and confirmed on receipt of order. All items are handmade – this means that slight alterations can occur. This ensure every item is individual to you. If an item is found to be faulty, a full refund will be provided on return of the item, or receipt of photographic evidence of the fault. Non commission items can be returned for a full refund, should you change your mind, but return postage must be paid for by yourself. Commission orders cannot be returned/refunded unless found to be faulty. All commission orders are to be paid for in full before work will commence. Payment plans can be set in place.

Athena Makes is 10 years old today!

I cannot believe how quickly the last ten years have flown by. It feels just like yesterday that I took the plunge and opened my business.

It is somewhat bittersweet at the moment – as I’m sure you all know by now, my mum is having major health problems, and has only had 4 days at home since the beginning of April. She continues to decline, so I am spending most of my time travelling back and forwards to Derby hospital to see her.

All this has meant that my creativity has dried up, and I have not been making very much lately – it’s hard to explain how much I miss creating.

But……I couldn’t let this anniversary go by without celebrating, so I have temporarily re-opened my Etsy shop, and have set up a special anniversary discount that is only available to my lovely page followers. We’re trying something new with the Emporium this month, and has actually set it up as an event.
