This is really interesting stuff...we know the health dangers of certain lighting (fluorescent), which makes LED a healthier alternative, but these guys are going the other way and applying LED for health benefits, like a vitamin or drug.

A quick update on the EPA Act and substantial 179D IRS deduction for energy-efficient upgrades to commercial buildings...let's hope this goes through as it benefits everyone...except, perhaps, the IRS

If enacted, H.R. 3507 would expand the §179D deduction for energy-efficient commercial buildings and permanently add it to the tax code.

Pairing motion sensors and LED lighting boosts the energy savings of an LED retrofit (already 70-80%) to over 90% savings over legacy lighting...in large facilities, the numbers get interesting quickly!
