Here's a good example of how weaving tension affects the pattern outcome.

This is a log cabin pattern. I started weaving it on a lighter warp tension and a light beat.

I unwove that start, and tightened the warp as much as possible, and then packing the weft as hard as I could.

The second result gives a more balanced weave structure and squares up the pattern. It's also a more solid fabric.

The yarn is 80% Merino 20% Alpaca. Sett is 20 epi, 2 in each dent of a 10 dent rigid heddle on a Cricket loom.

I also played with the hemstitching, and reworked that 3 times before I was satisfied.

I'm trying for a bit of serenity by warping my Cricket rigid heddle loom with some alpaca/wool blend yarn. I'm using 2 pegs at each end of the 4 foot table to measure an 8 foot warp.
