Scott Rolen

A seven-time All-Star, Rolen started his career in 1997, where he was named the National League Rookie of the Year. Rolen is regarded as one of the best defensive third basemen of all time, Rolen won eight Gold Glove Awards over his career, the fourth-most among third basemen.

Rolen's 2004 season was one of his best. For much of the season, he led the National League in RBIs, often ranked among the league leaders in most offensive statistics, and had the highest vote total of any player for the All-Star Game. Despite being injured for the last stretch of the season, he finished the year with a career-high .314 batting average, 34 home runs, and 124 RBIs. He finished fourth in the National League MVP voting. Rolen, along with Albert Pujols and Jim Edmonds earned the nickname "MV3" for their outstanding 2004 seasons. The 2004 Cardinals won the National League Central Division with 105 wins. Rolen's two-run home run in the sixth inning of Game 7 of the NLCSagainst Roger Clemens won the National League pennant for St. Louis by defeating the Astros in seven games.

In 2006, Rolen was one of six nominees for the National League Comeback Player of the Year award. He finished 2006 hitting .292, hitting 22 home runs and 95 RBIs. Rolen and the Cardinals won the 2006 World Series over the Detroit Tigers, with Rolen most notably hitting a game-tying home run in Game 1.

Tim McCarver

McCarver was a All-Star catcher and two-time World Series Champion with Cardinals. He helped the Cardinals win the 1964 World Series title, batting .478 in the Series, including a three-run home run in the tenth inning to win Game 5.

McCarver was runner-up for the 1967 NL Most Valuable Player Award, behind teammate Orlando Cepeda, after batting .295 and leading NL catchers in assists and fielding percentage.

After his playing career, McCarver set a TV record by calling 23 World Series as well as 20 All-Star Games, earning three Emmy Awards in the process. In 2012, McCarver was named the Ford C. Frick Award recipient. He was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2016 and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame in 2017.

Vince Coleman

Coleman stole 110 bases in his rookie season. Coleman stole over 100 bases in the following two seasons as well, making him the only player in the 20th century to post three consecutive seasons of 100 or more steals and the first player in major league history to steal 100 bases in the first three seasons of their career. By the end of only his second year, his 217 stolen bases were second in Cardinal history behind Lou Brock's 888. Coleman led the National League in stolen bases in every season he played with the Cardinals (1985–1990), becoming one of just four players ever to lead his league in six consecutive seasons.

Coleman helped the team reach the 1985 playoffs. Following the season, Coleman became the fourth-ever unanimous selection for the NL Rookie of the Year Award. In 1987, he stole second and third base in the same inning 13 times that year.
Coleman in 1989 compiled a streak of 50 successful stolen bases without being caught stealing. In June 1990, he recorded his 500th stolen base in just his 804th game, the fewest that any player has needed to reach that milestone.
