I have been turned off my the day lilies along side of the roads. They are so common that I almost think of them as weeds. But lately I come to appreciate the short unique kinds. Day lilies bloom in June-July but only for a day at a time. There are so many varieties and super low maintenance too!

What perennials are blooming in July series!
#1 Tall Phlox! I started with 2 tall phlox plants: a Lavender and a Coral. Without careful deadheading, I got a garden full of pink/lavender tall phlox. One of the easiest perennials I have in my garden!
