These beautiful photos were taken, once again, by our friend, Tamarah Gonzalez Sylvain. Sophia met Tamarah in 2022 working at Cafe Arabella in Lititz.

Tamarah taught her how to pull an espresso shot & steam milk, but was also like an older sister to Sophia. Some of Sophia’s favorite memories of working with her favorite “Tamarah bestie” or “T-dog” include speaking in Spanish, crafting creative drinks together & eating Bulls Head fries after a long shift.

A wedding (Tamarah’s 😉) & moving 200 miles away for university (Sophia) later, they continue to stay connected.

We (Jessica & Sophia) love the business relationship we have built with Tamarah over the years. She enjoys our products, shares with family & friends, and continues to support our business. We are grateful for her creative eye & the visual storytelling she captures so beautifully.

So now it’s our turn to celebrate & share the love! Element by Bodega is opening this Saturday, November 1, 2025. Located at 124 E. Main St. in Ephrata, this shop will feature coffee, matcha, and tea as well as sweet & savory pastries.

Element by Bodega is owned by Tamarah & her husband, Kems. They own Bodega Coffee Roasters, a family run business, commercial roastery in Denver. They supply restaurants and businesses & also sell coffee online.

Sophia remembers working with Tamarah and how she would share about how her dream was to one day open up a coffee shop. Well with hard work & some elbow grease, dreams do come true.

“Tamarah, estoy tan orgullosa de ti. This space will be more than a service industry, but also a space for genuine connection. You can already feel the heart behind it. You are one of the most genuine, kind & hardest working people I’ve ever met. I know that you will make this space special.” - Soph
