Have you heard of pocket boutonnieres? I have to say, I think they're great. No pinning to the jacket, and it can easily be switched from the jacket pocket to a vest pocket. The customer wanted a manly pocket boutonniere for prom so we went with wood succulents.

Not all wood flowers are created equal! Several people let me know that they've seen wood flowers for sale at craft stores, home Depot, Walmart, and even the dollar store. I've seen them too, and of course I had to touch them to see what kind of quality they were. As I suspected the quality wasn't there. They were brittle, poorly made, and would easily break. That is why I am very picky in choosing which companies I use to purchase my flowers.

Pictured below is the flower that belongs to my rambunctious toddler. She's played with it for about a month which included stepping on it, smashing it into the table, cramming it into her bag, and using it like a feather duster, etc.. Now it looks not so great, but not horrible considering what it's been through. Starting with a quality product will always give you a better result.

It's homecoming season! This order is a prime example of why wood flowers are a great option. The corsage and boutonniere will be used by the couple at 2 different homecomings that are almost a month apart. It was designed to match 2 different dress colors. We went with blue flowers, not many blue flower options with fresh flowers. With wood flowers, I can make them any color.

My two favorite lines from customers are "I have this container, could you make something for it" and "whatever you come up with.. artist's choice".
This piece will cover all the summer holidays- Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.

After a few months of having the workshop closed down due to construction, I'm back to creating arrangements. The first order out was this fun corsage. The customer asked if I could match the corsage to these shoes. Of course I can! This was such a fun color scheme.
