Our new venture....
To say it's been an interesting year or so would be a massive understatement. So much unrest, uncertainty, division. At times it's hard to remember a time of peace and the freedom of gathering with friends or walking into a store without a mask on.
And I can say with absolute certainty that in my 58 years I have never seen so much dissention and anger between family members and friends. It's been so sad. So many people seem to be focusing on all the ways we think, feel or believe differently and have completely lost sight of all the beautiful things we have in common. And that's where the concept of Creating a Common Ground was born.
I love getting together with my daughter and twin granddaughters and even though we are three different generations with different views, there are so many things that we have in common. We love tea, we love rocks and plants and good food. We love to decorate and even though we put our own spin on what we do, there is still a common thread there.
And that's our goal here at Common Ground. To curate a collection of things that we have a common love of and share them with you. To help us all find a common ground despite our differences. To help bring laughter and beauty back into a world that has gotten a little weary.
