My baby’s (young man I should say lol) first day of 11th grade….a junior!! Man oh man not having anymore littles is already hard but then there’s this….when they’re at that age that they really don’t like mom and really don’t have anything to do with mom…. That’s the hardest part of alllllll of this….I hope that my sons always need their momma because I’m 53 and I STILL need my momma! You got from being the Apple of their eyes 👀 to being the scum between their toes…..

Ok story time……so yesterday was a rough day (don’t want to even get into it) but I had been crying 😭 so hard and I sat out in my car in the Walgreens parking lot talking to my momma and cried harder of coarse…. But my Brody man needed some ibuprofen so I knew I had to go into Walgreens and hopefully I didn’t look like I had been crying…. Anywho to the best part of
The story….. so as I’m walking down the isle to grab the ibuprofen there was the cutest little boy with his Dad, I’d say he was about 6 or 7 if I had to guess. As I’m
Walking he looks at me and says hi 👋🏻, and waves with his big smile and big blue eyes 👀 and I said well hello to you and as he was walking around the corner to the middle
Isle he threw up the🫶🏻heart sign with both hands 🙌🏻 and I said your so sweet how did you know I needed that heart ♥️ of yours today, and quickly he replied “I could just tell you needed extra love today” and I told him I sure did!! And even though he wasn’t my kiddo that little gesture of love ❤️ and kindness made all my troubles seem so small!!! GOD MOVES IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS and he uses people YOU’D least EXPECT!! I’m so grateful for that little boy and so blessed that God even moves
In our little people! Goes to show you, that we learn from all ages and all walks of life!

📣📣📣 So tomorrow starts my new journey, and a brand new chapter!! I officially start my new purpose and job that God has chosen for me and I’m super excited, nervous and all kinds of wonderful crazy feelings! First a big ole shout out to my cousin Anita Johnson for telling me about this job without her I wouldn’t have even known there was such a thing! I get the pleasure and the blessing of being an RBT (Registered Behavioral Tech). I’m a BT as of right now but I will soon have my RBT certification. I get to do therapy with children with Autism ages 18 months to 26! I will have two clients and I am learning so much! I can’t wait to keep learning more and to be a part of these special kiddos journey and to help them along the way! Some of it is familiar such as progress notes and charting (all nursing stuff to) my Nursing isn’t going away in vain as I get to use a lot of my knowledge when going into their homes and working with not only the kiddo but the family to! I already did that daily as a nurses also! I prayed and prayed for God to use me where he needed me most and this job happened! I have always always loved 🥰 special needs children and people as to me they’re GODS CHOSEN SPECIAL PEEPS and I think I will be taught way more by these kiddos than I could ever teach them! I’m not sure where this road will lead but I know I trust God’s path for me and for his purpose! Say some prayers for myself and for my clients that I am exactly what they need at this moment! What a rewarding career this should be! Side note: I never even knew there was such a thing until now so READY, SET, GO!!!!! I will let y’all know how day 1 goes tomorrow! ‼️‼️‼️🚨🚨🚨‼️‼️‼️ (So cool I didn’t know this) This could be the most important thing that you see me post! These things are as lethal as a venomous snake in the wrong senerio! Please not only read it, but share it! Make sure we get the word out about these tics and the disease they carry!

It's warmer weather! Beginning time for camping, hiking and getting outside to play. Don't let those pesky annoying ticks stop you. Here's how with a simple homemade solution!

Repellent for your pets:

For pets, add 1 cup of water to a spray bottle, followed by 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Ticks hate the smell and taste of vinegar, and will be easily be repelled by this ingredient alone. Then, add two spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil, which both contain sulfur (another natural tick repellent).

To make a repellent that will also deter fleas, mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice, citrus oil, or peppermint oil, any of which will repel ticks and fleas while also creating a nicely scented repellent. Spray onto the pet's dry coat, staying away from sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and ge****ls. When outdoors for an extended period, spray this solution on two to three times per day.

For you and your family:

In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water. To make a scented solution so you do not smell like bitter vinegar all day, add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil.

Eucalyptus oil is a calm, soothing scent that also works as a tick repellent, while peppermint and citrus oils give off a strong crisp scent that also repel ticks.

After mixing the solution, spray onto clothing, skin, and hair before going outdoors. Reapply every four hours to keep ticks at bay, and examine your skin and hair when back inside to make sure no ticks are on the body.
