📸 Call me silly, but this "basic" picture is one of my favorites of all time. Here's why:

I love Colorado...and that is at the top of the photo (just like the state is always top of my mind).

The miner and donkey are front and center. I am a 4th generation Coloradan with a mining heritage. My Dad was a miner in the Cripple Creek District and I spent quite a bit of time wandering the dirt roads as a kid in the 1980s. Back then, the donkeys roamed free (much like today) and turquoise would pop up out of the ground during a heavy rain.💯

Kindness is critical...so I like to see the "Welcome to Town" sign that is near the bottom of the photo.

Lastly, the Cripple Creek city limit sign is visible...identifying where the photo was taken.

That's my reasoning for loving this picture.🙂
