It’s Labor Day, and I salute all workers today! I am thankful that my heart and hands and feet are healthy and that I love to work, something I was taught from childhood. These are my dad’s last pair of work boots, he put in 43 years at Buick and was a skilled tradesman there. I thought the paint on these was incredible, and he last wore them in the early nineties. Have a great day, all you hard workers! Hope there is some relaxation time in your day. ❤️

We sure do have the federal mirrors right now at Aviator Jayne! All three eagles are right up front! All are antique gold. The smallest is a convex mirror.

Vintage handmade pottery vase from an estate sale. These are the kinds of things I love to find and bring to the store, one of a kind, things you won’t find on the shelves of any big box store (or any other store!). So gorgeous. This one is at Aviator Jayne. Great gifts are everywhere!

📣 Announcement: In anticipation of Lem retiring from 46 years on the job, I’m adding one more location for my antique finds and furniture - so that when he retires he will have more time in which he will NOT BE BORED 🥱 🤣 😉

We got to keep the old bones moving and the old brains working and SOMEBODY has to have a reason to go to all the Estate Sales! 😉🤣😀

I’ll be taking antique and vintage goodies and some furniture — some painted and some refinished — out to Altered Designs in Holly, MI!

Today was my first drop off and I was a little nervous and felt like I was doing the first day of school all over again, but Holly (the owner!) put me at ease right away, and was so gracious and kind. It’s a wonderful shop! I’m so happy to be there!

The whole town of is a destination for shopping for antique treasures and vintage finds! There are multiple stores that are full of them! Take some friends and head out for there for the day! (And drop by the National Cemetery nearby afterward, too! It’s something everyone should see at least once. I couldn’t stop the tears the first time I visited! 🇺🇸)

🌙 I just finished this demilune or “half moon” table, usually used in a hallway or as an against the wall table in between his ‘n hers chairs, or it could be a nightstand in a small bedroom or guest room. 🌙
Here I have it styled in a 1920’s Tudor style home.
Color: black with gold highlights on the medallions.

🪴 ((SOLD)) All finished! I love these more in black than I do in their wood finishes. They look more substantial. The finish on this one wasn’t salvageable and now it has a new life as an entryway bench in your home!
