A great backyard shouldn’t feel like something added to a home.
It should feel like the architecture simply continued outdoors.

Here, the landscape, terraces, planting, water and outdoor living areas were designed to create that connection—softening the architecture while giving the home an entirely new way to be lived in.

The goal: make the backyard feel inevitable.

📸A little throwback to one of my favorite hallway installations.
The two vintage cameras on the left helped inspire the original Instagram logo, and across from them is a collection of images the wife created for her husband, telling the story of Instagram’s beginnings and featuring some of the earliest photos taken at the company.

In the middle is a deconstructed iPhone 3G - a nod to the mobile technology that helped create the platform for apps like Instagram to take off and ultimately flourish.

I’ve always loved how this hallway turned into something more than just a passageway. It really feels more like an art installation.

And the oversized mirror at the end was placed to reflect the sculptural pieces I curated on the opposite wall, which adds another layer to the whole experience.
