Three garbage bags later…
Purging is such a great sense of accomplishment for me. This morning, I actually enjoyed getting rid of clutter and things that we don’t need, things that haven’t seen daylight in years, and things that have no sentimental value but have just been quietly accumulating and taking up valuable and needed space.
I am not finished by a long shot. I want to go through thousands of photos, memorabilia, and picture frames… keeping the treasures and making room by parting with some of the rest. There are more cabinets and closets to tackle, a utility room that will certainly challenge me, and a Christmas room that has become a place to put things when you don’t know where else to put them…. I think you get the picture.
My goal is to simplify … I don’t want to keep things just because I’ve had them for years, or because there’s room to store them. I want to keep the things that are useful, the things that hold a special memory, and the things that make us happy.
So that’s my goal: less stuff, less clutter, and a simpler life filled with things we truly love. ❤️
