The many phases of a big tree coming down 🌳

This American Elm had a significant crack between the three main leads at the base, a structural failure waiting to happen. When multiple trunks grow from one point, weak unions can form over time, and eventually they begin to separate.

With splitting like this, it’s not a matter of if but when.

We’re grateful we could remove it safely before it caused serious damage. If you ever notice cracking or separation at the base of a tree, it’s worth having it inspected before it becomes an emergency. 🚨
