Effective 12/31/25, my booth at Gifts & Talents will be closing. I have been blessed these last 6 years to be a part of the G&T family and I thank God for the relationships built there.

🙋🏻‍♀️Hi I’m Kelli and I’m a serial primer 🤭👩🏻‍🎨
It’s true that you can use Rethunk Junk paints without priming most of the time. I however love the way this primer covers and gives me a clean and even slate for all my projects. It also helps me find places that need additional filling or repairs. So next time you have a pesky project, grab some RTJ Power Primer and watch it work its magic. 🪄✨ 🎩

It’s been a hot minute since I did a post but this one was worth the wait! 🥁Drumroll please for these beauties…. 🩵🩵🩵

These vintage Samsonite metal chairs were my clients mothers. My client said her mother wanted her guests to have a place to sit when they visited so she kept these chairs around. She even remembers her mom recovering them at some point. And even with a little surface rust and dusty fabric, these chairs are solid and deserve to keep seating guests for years to come.

I began with removing the fabric seat covers and then cleaned the metal with prep and a scrubby pad. On the rusty spots I used an 80 grit sanding pad with the prep to clean and smooth them out and then wiped clean with a paper towel. I sprayed on 2 coats of gray Rethunk Junk Power Primer followed by 3 coats of RTJ Hydrangea Kiss 🪻which is the perfect pairing with the fabric my client picked out. I repadded and recovered the seats and back rest and put back into place and added new white leg caps to the one chair that needed them.

The RTJ Power Primer adds an extra level of protection and with Rethunk Junk having rust inhibitors, there’s no need to worry about the rust popping back through. And aren’t they lovely??? 🩵

For my old school “junkies” you may remember “Sandstone” and “Simply Taupe”. You’ll be happy to see the newly released colors are a “rebirth” of these colors. Not exactly the same but very similar. And “Birch” is an all new white shade with green undertones.
