Inspired by the wild edges of the Pacific Northwest coast, our new Driftwood Reverie duvet set is hand-dyed in weathered pinkish brown against a soft white ground. The color moves across the fabric in feathery, irregular formations, sometimes gathering deeply, sometimes fading almost entirely, as though shaped by water rather than placed by hand.

Expanses of white keep the palette airy while earthen brown settles into branching, organic markings reminiscent of driftwood, rain-darkened sand, and the tangled debris left behind by a retreating tide.

Each duvet is dyed individually, allowing the pattern to form without being forced into repetition.🤎

SUMMER FLING REVERIE

Sweet enough to get away with it.

It started with innocent yellow. Then came a blush of hot pink. Then a kiss of orange.

Bright, shameless, and perhaps a little more than we intended.

It was only supposed to be a little fun.

But summer flings rarely stay unattached. You tell yourself it’s only for a season, right up until you’re not quite ready to let it go.

And the fling doesn’t have to end just because summer did.

Let the nights get longer. Let the air turn cold. Some things are far too pretty to leave behind with summer.

Hand-dyed in loose, spontaneous washes, every set has its own chemistry. Colors meet, tangle, and occasionally get a little carried away.

Summer may be over. This one isn’t.

Black stacks rise from the water like relics of an ancient devotion, storm yielding, century by century, to the sea’s relentless touch.

Whole trees lie surrendered to the tide, uprooted and stripped pale, their enormous roots exposed like bones. Dark stones, once jagged, have been worried smooth by an endless persuasion.

White foam catches against the shore like tattered lace. Kelp wraps itself around driftwood, as though the sea loved it enough to follow it onto land. The tide leaves tears in the hollows, tender traces of itself left to mourn when the water retreats.

Farther out, a lone rock disappears beneath the tide, only to surface again when the water lets it go. Half-submerged timber takes wave after wave, each one returning to the same place as though repetition might somehow become reunion. A bird crosses the gray water, a solitary witness to all that has passed between sea and shore, before the fog takes him too.

Even the horizon disappears here.

There are places where footprints lead toward the water and then simply end.

Perhaps that is what makes the sea so beautiful and so unsettling. It does not need to be violent to change a thing. It simply returns. Again and again, it returns. And given enough time, nothing it touches remains entirely as it was. It wears stone smooth. It uproots forests. It takes every sharp edge into its hands and lullabies it soft.

Perhaps love can be like that.

Not the kind that destroys, but the kind that returns and returns, touching the same places until they no longer remember the shape they held before. It leaves something of itself in every place it has known intimately. It alters what it loves simply by having loved it. And sometimes it changes a thing forever without ever being allowed to keep it.

Even after the sea lets go, what it has loved still bears the shape of its touch.

And then it pulls back. Again…

leaving its ghosts along the shore.
