The One Eyed Dog is on the move!

After several wonderful years at Vintage Marketplace in Colorado, it's time for us to close this chapter and begin a new adventure!

We'll begin packing up our booths on Thursday, October 15, as we officially make the transition to our new home in Ravenna, Nebraska.

We want to send a HUGE thank-you to Vintage Marketplace, our fellow vendors, and everyone who has stopped by, shopped with us, or supported our little business over the years.

But don't worry, The One Eyed Dog isn't going away! We're just changing our scenery.

Our Etsy and eBay shops will continue, and we're looking forward to some fun vintage pop-up events in Nebraska!

Same quirky treasures. Same love of all things vintage. Just a new home!

Thank you, Colorado! And hello, Nebraska!

WHAT’S IN OUR JUNK JAUNT TOOL BOX?

After years of Junk Jaunting, this little box has become one of our favorite things to toss in the truck.

Nothing fancy—just a tape measure, hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, utility knife and a few other odds & ends that have come in handy over the years.

Best part? The whole thing fits under the truck seat, which means it doesn’t take up valuable treasure-hauling space.

Because there is nothing worse than finding the piece and realizing you can’t measure it, loosen something to make it fit, or safely get it home.

ONE WEEK UNTIL JUNK JAUNT!

It’s almost time! After 12+ years of Junk Jaunting as shoppers, we’ve learned that being a little prepared makes a BIG difference.

We put together our Junk Jaunt Buyer Checklist with some of the things we always like to have along—from the Shopper’s Guide and packing supplies to snacks, sunscreen and, most importantly…an EMPTY vehicle.

Some stops will be getting an early start Wednesday/Thursday, with even more opening Friday, so now’s the time to start getting your Junk Jaunt gear together!

Vintage Treasure Hunting Tip

When it comes to vintage games, don't let a worn box automatically scare you away.

We actually expect a little wear on games that have been around for decades — after all, they were meant to be played!

What matters more? Take a look inside. Are the pieces there? How does the board look? Are the instructions included? Is it an unusual edition or a game you don't see very often?

Sometimes that well-loved box is hiding something pretty interesting.

Wait... something's different about this blue Scrabble game.

Yep — it's German! 🇩🇪

We currently have this vintage German-language Scrabble game tucked into our booth, and it got us thinking about all those family game nights before screens took over.

So we're curious...

What game was THE game in your house?

A little booth refresh!

We spent some time today fluffing, rearranging and adding a few new-old treasures to our booths at Vintage Marketplace!
There’s a little bit of everything tucked in — vintage kitchenware, glassware, home décor, western finds, books, games and, of course, a few wonderfully unexpected things.
